Had a great time by the pool and beach with friends for a week. There are these animals called Coati’s and they roam the resort. Poolside experience was great - Fermin aka the Ferminator and his colleague Hector did a great job of keeping it lively, active and fun. Nicole, Hector and Daniel kept our glasses full and made us feel like royalty. Both Lola Beach and Lola Snack were fantastic food options. Great service. We had great dinners at the Italian restaurant and the Asian restaurant. Breakfast buffet was good. Entertainment was so-so. The shows were great, but it was frustrating that you essentially had to eat super early or rush a meal to make them due to the timing. They also didn’t offer any ‘dinner and a show’ type of experiences so it made it challenging to do both. For how small the resort is, they shouldn’t do shows poolside at night as it’s extremely loud. My wife and I laid down in bed at 9 on our last night as we had a long day of travel ahead and the music vibrated our sliding doors for an hour, and then people continued partying after the show for a while. I called guest services 3 times with 0 response to my complaint. They even said the first that they could hear it clearly through my phone. I eventually went to the lobby to see if I could speak to a manager and I did, but was essentially scolded and looked down at for even making a complaint at all. Resorts should be relaxing at all stages of life. I paid several hundred dollars for a nights sleep that I didn’t get. Other than that, very quality experience all around.

Updated resort (large hotel really) that shows its age if you look closely. Very limited choice of food and beverage but we went for only 2 nights so it was actually perfect. Nice and easy to get around without getting lost. We had a beautiful ocean front room with a spacious balcony. Staff was attentive and kind. Beautiful beach great for long walks. We just couldn't imagine going for a longer stay due to lack of choices in food and entertainment.

The room was beautiful and very clean, and the bathroom was roomy and modern. We had an ocean view room, but you had to look over the pool and a restaurant to see the ocean, which meant you could see and hear everything that was going on at the pool, which wasn't the vibe we were going for. If I booked again, I would try a garden view room, hoping for a more tranquil experience. The common areas are beautiful and super clean. The beach was cleaned every morning by a tractor and was lovely for walking. When exiting the resort, you could turn left and walk quite a ways along the beach until you came to a natural pool. If you turned right you could walk forever and a day. The water was warm and most days it was calm enough to swim. There was some natural debris floating in the water, but it didn't bother us. The first day, the staff was quite aggressive in peddling their extras. The extras included expensive meals, wine, jewelry, tequila, the spa, and possibly a time-share to the sister property being built next door. Once we established that we weren't interested, they backed off and just gave us a friendly wave. We enjoyed the food, and although it wasn't fine dining, we had some really tasty meals. The pasta at the Italian restaurant was delicious, and the servers worked hard to keep us happy. They literally ran about the restaurant, delivering food and drinks. However, I was disappointed in the lack of ambiance and decorum in the restaurants. They were really really loud, and there was no dress code to speak of. Some people dressed up and others were in their shorts and t-shirts. At one meal, a young man was yelling across the restaurant at someone he knew on the far side of the room. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because several reviews said it was quiet, and I think it was, compared to other all-inclusives. At night, everything closed around 10, except for the sports bar, which I think stayed open until 1 am. The rooms were quiet and seemed to be sound proofed. We never heard any noise during the night. There isn't a lot to explore within walking distance, only the beach, which is basically one resort after another, as far as the eye can see. We walked on the private resort road, which leads to the main road, but it was busy with vehicles and staff coming and going, and really an enjoyable experience. There are no trails or quiet areas to explore or walk on the hotel grounds. That seemed to be okay with most guests, who just hung out at the pool or the beach. I would recommend the hotel to those who aren't looking for ambiance at dinner time, and who enjoy spending their days at the pool.

This is a great resort for adults only and if you want a relaxing experience! Have to mention, I saw the best female guitarist ever. Her name is Anaid Saes. For free you get to hear this woman play for an hour non stop. She is absolutely amazing and very approachable! This review is an add on to the previous that I have already written. Had to mention her

As a UVC member you are not receiving any upgrades as promised. From upgrade to late checkout was no given. The check I and out staff ruined an excellent review. Management needs to provide over sight. I will not visit Hyatt again.
