Excellent facilities and rooms. Smaller, more intimate resort where everything is within a few minutes walking distance. They keep the beach extremely well groomed. Butler services were fantastic. There were not a lot of restaurant options, which made dining three times a day a little repetitive. The food on the buffet was fair. A lot of meat and sauce combinations and very few unsauced items for those who prefer more of a steamed or grilled diet. Overall, we loved the resort and would stay again for the close proximity to the beach, relaxing atmosphere and beautiful rooms.

We had great hopes for the first time staying at this resort but were very disappointed in many aspects of the resort. First off the good. The beach was amazing. Incredibly clean, great view, and the sand was amazing even out many feet into the ocean itself. I don't know if I've seen a beach in better condition in the area. The wait staff around the pool worked their asses off. Very kind suggesting drinks and brining what was requested. As mentioned several times, they were understaffed but the staff that did work, tried their best. They even tried to help while most of us were sick (see below). Now, the not so good (bad is coming). The pool layout was cool and creative. The down side was that the water was extremely cold. In addition, the chair situation was crazy. Instead of putting out additional chairs, they carefully managed the number of chairs available to upsell you to the various beds that they had for rent. I completely appreciate making bali beds available for rent, but to push people to rent them by removing chairs is not right. We did pay for a premium experience. The rooms were nice and well designed. Love the true ocean view and the nice sized balcony that was available. Down side was a very inconsistent A/C that always seemed cold blowing on you but never all that cold at night. The bad. The food situation at this resort was very disappointing. the Capri Grill was closed the entire time (no reason given) and they explained that the Italian menu would still be available the Lola. What they didn't explain was that was the ONLY menu available as it if just moved and replaced the other menus. That left us with only two restaurants for dinner plus the buffet. We knew going in that there were not a lot of options but losing one really made it difficult. On top of the limited options, the food quality was maybe 4/10 on a good option and 1/10 on some. Many items were re-used/re-heated on the buffet and the foot at other restaurants were rarely hot or cooked correctly. The consistency was also a joke. Different ingredients, different presentation, etc. The upsell efforts here were crazy for a high-end resort. We had just finished checking in the when the first attempt hit. Then with every meal, premium options. A $400 SuperBowl option. Bali Beds. At some point it didn't feel like an all-inclusive. Beyond all of that, 4 of our 6 guests got sick from the food/water. Illness ranged from discomfort and skipping a meal (and less fun across the board) to bed ridden and not eating for a couple of days. The best we can tell it was the water poured at the meals but we are not sure. Needless to say it made everyone's experience less than stellar.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya exceeded every expectation! The beach and pool are absolutely gorgeous — crystal clear turquoise water, soft white sand, and a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. The food was AMAZING — truly some of the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive. What really made the trip special was the staff. They went above and beyond in every interaction and made us feel genuinely cared for. Don’t skip the cabana experience — it’s 100% worth it and takes your beach day to the next level. The only small downside was that they don’t use bracelet room keys like many all-inclusives. You have to carry a key card, which can be a little inconvenient when you’re in a swimsuit all day and don’t have pockets. Overall, we would absolutely return!

Absolutely loved my stay at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya—it was the kind of trip that checks every box and then some. The views alone are breathtaking, with turquoise water and perfect white sand beaches that feel straight out of a postcard. The food was a standout across the board: incredible sushi, a super-fun and delicious hibachi experience, excellent Italian, elevated Mexican cuisine, and a coffee bar that became my daily ritual (honestly, top-tier). What really made the experience special was the energy and care from the staff, who were consistently kind, attentive, and professional. The Entertainment team, led by the amazing Sandy, created such a fun, welcoming vibe with activities that made it easy to connect, laugh, and fully enjoy the resort. Daily Fitness classes with a view, and nightly shows, including a Cabaret show kept us entertained. There was always something going on without it ever feeling overwhelming. I also loved the variety of experiences available—catamaran sailing, paddle boarding, and even a visit to a nearby cenote, which was unforgettable and such a unique way to experience the natural beauty of the area. Overall, Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya delivers luxury without feeling stuffy, fun without chaos, and relaxation with just the right amount of adventure. I’d return in a heartbeat. 🌊✨
