The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai

Had an amazing 4 days at The Edition. Beautiful resort, excellent service and food. The main pool was one of the largest pools I've ever seen. There is also a beach club pool right next to the beach. We stayed at the St Regis last year and it is really hard to say which was better. Its a toss up but both are gorgeous properties. We were upgraded to the one bedroom suite that had a beautiful large balcony overlooking the mangroves toward the ocean. It is a large resort but it feels intimate and quiet. Highly recommend The Edition Riviera Maya. We'll be back.

There is no other resort more peaceful than this one! The property is kept extremely clean, the grounds are gorgeous and you feel instantly relaxed once you arrive on property. This is our second time at the resort and this year you could definitely see improvements in menus, food options and drinks. From last year to this year, the food has improved tremendously and was absolutely excellent throughout our stay. Starting with The Kitchen, our favorite meal was and continue to be the à la carte breakfast! They have many delicious options! The new dinner menu items coming out of The Kitchen are definitely worth checking out — everything felt elevated, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Our dinner server Jose was simply amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable with the wine selections and made sure we tried some wonderful hot sauces that really enhanced the experience. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality stood out our last evening. Moving to the options outside the main building is the main pool. This is always the first place we stop when we arrive, and our time out there was made even better by Giovanni at the bar and our server Carlos. Giovanni makes the best mezcalita’s! Carlos our pool server was constantly checking on us, anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask, and always made us feel exceptionally well taken care of. Truly, no one I’ve ever met at a resort works harder than Carlos. At Sol Beach Club, we had the pleasure of meeting Ramon and Marco, who both made fantastic dinner / lunch recommendations. The whole fish which you can make into tacos, fresh seafood and tuna tostada are some delicious dishes there! In Room Dining We had one small In Room Dining issue and the manager made sure as soon as we sat for breakfast the next day it was brought up and apologized for. She gave us a small gift for our kids as well as our favorite tea for the room. Extremely kind and thoughtful! One last thing to mention is the ability to take a golf cart right to the St.Regis to enjoy dinner there as well! Other facilities on property: We also had the pleasure of using the gym daily which was always clean and had plenty of equipment. We did get a chance to check out the spa this time and if your trip allows time for a 90 minute massage it’s definitely worth it! The staff is extremely friendly and the amenities were very beautiful What really separates this property from others is the service. Every person on the property remembered us by name and consistently made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. That level of personalization is rare and made the experience feel incredibly welcoming. If we could make a few recommendations for improvement: - More in-room dining options especially if you have a room with a pool and would like to order lunch / snacks or even drinks - Improved taxi/transportation options for getting off property example being the “type” of taxi you get offered. The taxi company should represent the brand. - An easier way to find the daily activities schedule. Since the resort always has something fun planned and we didn’t see the QR codes signs everyday but they make a great list of activities for all ages Overall, another wonderful stay and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

My husband and I stayed at The Riviera Maya Edition at Kanai for our honeymoon. Our stay was perfect. The resort is beautiful, kept well, and peaceful. The staff were very hospitable. Our room was spacious and had all the amenities needed. They offer many activities, such as water sports. The resort also had multiple dining options and we enjoyed all of them. The environment was perfect for us to enjoy our time together.
