Rosewood Mayakoba

An exceptional hotel with 5 star service. The staff was extremely welcoming to our 4 year old son, greeting him with a stuffy upon arrival at the airport, offering a wonderful (and complimentary) kids club, making a surprise bubble bath with bath toys and balloons, and providing in-room babysitting for a date night. We got a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view rooftop suite, which was beautiful. It had a pull out sofa bed in a separate room, which was perfect for the 3 of us. A wonderful vacation and easy to reach from the airport. We’ll be back!

Another amazing and perfect trip to Rosewood Mayakoba! This was our eighth trip there and we were made to feel so special once again like they can only do. From Silvia at our welcome greeting to Samantha our Butler to Rapha on the beach to the entire crew at AMQ (Ruffino, Bonnie and Carlos) to the wonderful gentleman, Antonio, who delivered us coffee to our beautiful deck each early morning to Ramon at breakfast. It was a perfect trip and great to see "old" friends again. They have not skipped a beat! Rosewood Mayakoba remains the standard upon all other resorts are judged. You think Rosewood, you think elevated, this is not the case. Resort is dated, overhyped and somewhere I would have no need to return to Firstly service, they try but cannot quite execute. Everything is late or just coming. Staff try constantly to recover service, they should just provide it in the first place. Rooms are something from a prior era, very dated. The whole place needs to be refurbished. I would hope it is next on the list. Food was average to below. Honestly did not have a good meal the whole time I was there. Cost while there I are not in line with what you get. Do not expect anything extra that you do not pay for. I would never need visit again and you will see from my reviews good and bad that I stay in a lot of hotels.

My husband and I went to Rosewood Mayakoba to celebrate our birthdays. We had a wonderful time! The beach is beautiful and great for swimming. They have complimentary paddle boards and kayaks on the beach. They do ask for identification upon entering the hotel. I personally love that, it makes me feel safe. No one enters the property unless they know exactly who they are and why they are there.

The hotel staff was amazing, the conditions were pretty good, the rooms were really clean and well designed. The food was delicious especially the chicken quesadillas. The hotel is also really family friendly and they offer bikes that you can use to travel around the hotel but golf carts are also available. I 100% recommend.
