Our honeymoon at Atelier Playa Mujeres was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt completely taken care of. If you are looking for a blend of luxury, relaxation, and world-class dining, this is the place to be. The Service & Room The staff at Atelier is truly exceptional—attentive, respectful, and incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a swim-out suite, and it was absolute heaven! Having that private access to the water made our honeymoon feel even more exclusive and romantic. Culinary Excellence The food at this resort is a 10/10; everything served is incredibly fresh. You truly cannot go wrong with any of the restaurants, but here were our highlights: Takeshi: Our absolute favorite! The sushi was so good we went back twice. Suspiro: The "Catch of the Day" (which was seabass during our stay) was AMAZING. It was easily one of the best meals of the trip. Breakfast Buffet: A fantastic variety and the perfect way to start every morning. The Property & Atmosphere The resort itself is beautiful and a blast to explore. We spent our days lounging by the pool and checking out the beach. What we loved most was the versatility of the atmosphere—there are plenty of options for couples who want to socialize and play games, but it’s just as easy to find a quiet, relaxing spot if you want to disappear into a book. The Spa Experience The spa is a must-visit. We did a couples massage and the hydrotherapy circuit, and the experience was outstanding. Much like the rest of the resort, the spa staff was wonderful and ensured we left feeling completely rejuvenated. Final Verdict We had an amazing time and created memories that we will cherish forever. Whether you’re celebrating a honeymoon or just looking for a high-end getaway, we cannot recommend Atelier Playa Mujeres enough!

We recently returned from a 7-night Valentine’s stay at Atelier as a British couple, and overall we had a lovely trip however there is room for improvement, mainly due to very poor customer service from management. The food was a strong point, with most meals being very good and some truly excellent — especially at Cilento, Los Abrazos, and Takeshi. Maria Dolores was a beautiful experience for Valentine’s Day, though the food didn’t quite match expectations and we were unfortunately overcharged. Drinks were a highlight, with the crème brûlée martini and Mango Tango being standouts. The beach was great with soft sand and great service, and we never struggled to find a spot before midday. The main pool, however, was more difficult, with loungers often taken early, which made relaxing mornings tricky. Activities and entertainment were fantastic — we loved the craft workshops, karaoke, and evening shows, which struck a great balance for a couples-focused resort. Service was a mix: the waiters, housekeeping, and pool staff were exceptional and genuinely warm, but management and reception were extremely cold and unhelpful at times, particularly when handling an issue with an excursion booking. Customer service from management over email is even worse, it’s absolutely awful and really disappointing. If you have an issue, management do NOT CARE AT ALL, they can get very agressive and rude. STAY AWAY from the excursion desk, we were sold a trip which was completely different. When we complained, the man got extremely rude and refused to evem partially refund us. This part of Atelier is a real let down. Our room in Building 2 had a lovely ocean view from the balcony and a convenient location, though the walls are paper thin and in the evenings it was quite noisy. We really enjoyed the pop-up food carts around the main pool — these were such a fun surprise and a highlight of our days. However it would be great if these were added to the timetable of the day, as if you are sat elsewhere or on the beach, you will miss out. Overall, we’d rate Atelier 4 stars. With major improvements to management service and pool organisation, it could easily be a 5-star experience, and we would definitely consider returning.
