The staff was wonderful and helpful nd sympathetic to my lost luggage with my father's remains. Room was very clean, so many hotels fail at that. Bed was amazing, not too hard or too soft. I ordered the Farmer's Benedict for breakfast and loved it, my wife ordered the crab omelet. She hasnt stopped complaining about it for 5 days. Christ, don't order that. Great location.

Stayed overnight at The Nines to enjoy a birthday dinner at Departure and breakfast-in-bed from Urban Farmer. Upon check-in, Juan let us know of our room upgrade and sent us a complimentary bottle of wine as a nice touch for my birthday. He was very friendly and did a great job. The food and room did not disappoint. The upgraded room was gorgeous, exceptionally quiet, and felt very luxurious. Departure was excellent (as always), and the new executive chef has added some great new touches to the menu, as well as small tweaks to classic menu staples. We were very satisfied with our stay and will be returning again soon.

We spent one night at The Nines, and I was very pleased with the hotel. Would definitely stay here again. The room was very nice, with a comfortable bed and a small but well laid out bathroom. I loved the clever corner vanity with loads of counter space. It's an old building but thoughtfully renovated, including adding plenty of power outlets at both sides of the bed as well as the desk. Our room faced the front of the hotel. We could hear the rumble of the street trams, which was not loud or unpleasant, but if you're very sensitive to noise you might want a room facing the inner courtyard. There is a bell desk at street level, the lobby is on the 8th floor. There are two restaurants, one in the atrium on 8 and another on the top floor with outdoor space and a view. Service was great, from the valet who fetched a forgotten item from our car to the concierge who was very knowledgeable. The location is very central for walking around downtown Portland, and was perfect for the show we were there to see at the Jack London Review a couple blocks away.

Juan was awesome! He did a great job checking us in and was very friendly and attentive. Would stay at this property again just because of him! He took great care of us and explained the property. He even provided us a bottle of wine because we were here celebrating our son’s graduation from college.

The service was excellent. I was greeted by Ms Amina at the desk, and she was very helpful. The rooms are well-maintained and the views are excellent. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I loved everything about the hotel - location, service, convenience, house keeping was exceptional. Wished I could have stayed longer! Thank you
