My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at San Pietro in May for our 12th anniversary. It is the epitome of simple elegance and I loved the non-corporate, family-run feel that the hotel had. The views from every aspect of the hotel are breathtaking- from the lobby, to the pool, to the beach club, to the gym. But it is the hospitality from the staff that make this hotel what it is. We have never felt more warmth and genuine care by a staff, than we have at San Pietro. We received such a warm welcome upon arrival and it lasted until we left the hotel. It is obvious that the owners take excellent care of their staff, in the way that the staff treats its guests. They treat each guest with such warmth and make you seem like you've been friends for years. Two particular staff members that went above and beyond for us were Pasquale at the pool and Guiliano at Zass. They both were always so welcoming and we enjoyed speaking with them and hearing about their Italian roots. The hotel also has so many wonderful amenities- the shuttle that is offered 24/7 to Positano, the timed water taxi to Positano, the complimentary 2 hour boat ride along the Amalfi coast (which was fabulous), the gym underneath the lemon grove... The food was fabulous at Zass for both daily breakfast and the dinner we had there. The concierge and front desk were always prompt and helpful in arranging dinner reservations and transfer services to and from the hotel. From comping a lunch at Carlino's for our anniversary to providing champagne in our room upon arrival, to allowing us to have a drinks at a bar that was technically not open to guests- there were so many treats along the way. We never visit the same hotel twice, but I can assure you that we will be back!

My wife and I ended our honeymoon at Il San Pietro and it was a perfect finale to a great trip. Views in Positano and Almafi are incredible across the coast but Il San Pietro cannot be beat. In addition to the private beach and beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean, the service and hospitality is unmatched. From the moment you are picked up on a private boat at the Positano port to the second you leave you are treated like royalty. The general manager Andrea was also sure to provide special accommodations to us each day of the trip to help us celebrate our honeymoon. What sets ISP apart is that it maintains its family-run feel. From the owners lovable dog Mela participating in morning yoga with us to hearing many of the staff members tell us how they are from this area and have worked at the hotel for decades, it has a great history that everyone here works hard to maintain. We would not even consider looking at another hotel when we come back to this area - we’ll be at Il San Pietro again soon.

Absolutely incredible hotel. Our room was stunningly beautiful with a large water view terrace with a perfect view towards Praiano where we watched the sun rise over an ocean cliff in the morning, the ocean sparkle during the day, and the butterflies and birds dance all day over the flower covered cliff side below us. It was like being in a dream. The rest of the hotel is absolutely stunning though far from pretentious. This is due to the warmth, charm and incredible friendliness of the amazing staff. After just a day or two, we felt like we were family. The food is spectacular - Carlino's, the beachside restaurant is excellent; Zass, a 2 star Michelin rated restaurant, is sublime. Morning breakfast though in Zass was one of my favorites; eating a beautiful breakfast watching the sun sparkle on the ocean as the day emerged. Just incredible. The outdoor terrace with its incredible views, cocktail scene, and amazing green olives served with all drinks was equally stunning. And it does not end there. The beach area is incredible. There is an elevator, literally carved into an ocean cliff, that brings you down to a grotto where you then enter their own beach, a beach terrace for sunning and swimming, and a paddle board/kayaking area at the beach. There is a daily complimentary boat tour of the Amalfi Coast which includes swimming and drinks. The gym is outdoor under orange trees. Pilates and yoga is beachfront in the morning at 9. This is the best place that I have ever stayed at - the hotel, the private beach, the food, the many amenities, but most importantly, the lovely and amazing staff who welcomed us so warmly. My husband and I are so thankful that we were able to visit this wonderful place. I would give Il San Pietro 10 stars on a scale of 1 to 5.

We had a wonderful time at Il San Pietro. I'm convinced there's no bad view. Even when facing the hotel, it's something gorgeous. The entire property is well kept and the staff is so kind and courteous. We felt well taken care of here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone staying along the Amalfi Coast -- especially if you want to escape the noise of Positano for some serenity. The beach club was lovely and we really enjoyed the free boat tour. The shuttles worked flawlessly and we only wish we could've tried more of the amenities they offer in the time we were there!

We had an exceptional stay. Dinner at Carolino was delicious..we got to experience dinner at Zass, the on-site Michelin restaurant. We experienced the most and wonderful cuisine. Exquisite service by the staff. Can’t wait to return to this amazing resort hotel.
