First let me comment on the good things about this hotel. Staff. Many we encountered were fabulous. Special mention to Austin, Therese, Vlad (I think--porter), and Dia. They were kind, courteous, and helpful. Austin really sets the bar for customer experience and really helped to elevate our stay. Bathroom. Fantastic shower with great water pressure. Big, fluffy towels. Bed. Super comfortable, with duvets that were large enough, which is not always the case. Room. Was an interior room and very quiet. There is a lot of street noise in the area, and we weren't affected by it at all. And there are things that give me pause. The vibe. This is a big hotel. I found walking into the lobby to be jarring. The music is pretty awful (definitely not 4 star hotel type music) and way too loud. There's no water at the check in desk or anywhere in the lobby like many hotels provide. There is no one to greet you at the door as you walk in. Similarly, check in was very busy and without much attention to making us feel valued as we arrived. These aren't huge flaws, but for a hotel at this price range and with all the glowing reviews, I was expecting something that felt more personal and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice with attentive staff. The dining room, however, is huge and, again, incredibly loud. If you enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning and a relaxed experience, you won't get it here. There is an outside area that's ok with some greenery, but the seats aren't terribly comfortable and, sandwiched between buildings, it isn't really an inviting courtyard. Not terrible, but not pretty like many hotel courtyards. At check out at 4:00 a.m., the lobby music was loud and annoying--like elevator musak. I mentioned it to the gentleman at the desk, and he said that he has to keep it that loud. Overall, there's nothing wrong with this hotel, and many things that are quite nice. But if you're looking for a calm amidst the storm that is Prague, this hotel isn't it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Almanac X. The hotel is in a great location, an easy walk to Old Town and so many shops, restaurants and local attractions. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and the breakfast buffet and a la carte menu were delicious. What sets the Almanac X apart from other hotels is the amazing staff. Every employee we encountered went out of their way to look after us. A special shout out to Anastasia at the front desk and Anna in the restaurant, these two went above and beyond providing outstanding service and always with a smile. Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about booking here, just do it!

A great 5 star hotel. Location just 100 mtrs off wenceslas square. We got an upgrade to 7th floor, room with ample space, great compact bathroom with handheld and rainshower with generous waterpressure. Modern interior. Although airconditioned (very silent) we preferred the open window. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Great Staff. Great breakfast with big buffet and a la carte options included. On our late departure we were able to take a shower in the gym and change. A place to return to.

Wowowow my experience was the best that I have ever had at a hotel. The breakfast was incredible, the staff was over the top attentive, the rooms were luxurious and comfortable, the amenities in the gym were updated and clean, I wish I could move in. I barely wanted to leave the hotel to explore the city
