About the Hotel
Occupying seven buildings of a 13th century monastery and brewery, which was formerly home to the friars of the Order of Saint Augustine, Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Prague is located in Prague's posh Malá Strana district. Monuments synonymous with the Golden City such as the Charles Bridge spanning the Vlatava River, Prague Castle and immaculately landscaped Wallenstein Gardens are within easy walking distance. Recently restored with great care and attention to detail, the hotel's simple elegance is reflected in the design of the 85 sleek guest rooms. Glorious Hotel
As an Ambassador Bonvoy member with well over 2,000 nights at Marriott I can sincerely say this was one of the most memorable. This hotel is superb in every way. We were treated with incredible grace from the moment we checked in and through our five-night stay. The hotel is set amongst a Benedictine monastery with tremendous history. Please take advantage of the tour the hotel provides twice per week. Understanding the history of the property is key to appreciating the experience. St. Thomas church is part of the property, and it is beautiful. They conduct mass in multiple languages on Sat/Sun. Prague is a beautiful city with so much to offer. The restaurant scene is amazing, and the architecture is beautiful. Cannot recommend highly enough.

There can be no better place to stay in Prague
There aren’t enough superlatives to describe our stay in this gorgeous former monastery in the Lesser Town section of Prague. The easy check in (with sparkling wine), the superb included breakfast, a prepared box of excellent food for when we’d be out very early, a beer cellar, bar and restaurant that all are excellent with expert staff, the secluded off street courtyard entry, the small number of beautiful, unique and spacious suites, and, most of all, an incredible staff who are uniformly knowledgeable and charming…the list goes on.

Not being told the truth
The property is nice. However, they were not honest about the internet. Not working in the rooms on the t. V YouTube was not available nor was any other internet outlet on the TV. They did not tell us that before we got in the room. It was very frustrating for me to keep trying to get it to work before I asked the desk. And then I realized I wasted a couple of hours trying to get something to work that didn't work. That's why I rate this hotel not so well.

St. Augustine Hotel, Prague- June 2025. Exceptional!
Exceptional hotel and beautiful monastery. The entire hotel and the outstanding service from the staff was superb. From check-in with Ester who accommodated our individual upgrades to Vasilis who made us feel special at the St. Thomas Brewery downstairs (old room of the 13th century monastery) and the scrumptious breakfast and table service from Tigist, Andrea, and Dominic is unmatched with any other hotel we have enjoyed. Topped off with personal tour of the adjacent 13th century monastery by the concierge Michael also gave us a personal view of 16th century books. WOW! We stayed in the beautiful Fresco suite (facilitates with Ester’s recommendation and help). It’s a must stay. We will be back. Thank you St. Augustine.
