When we arrived, my wife was little bit afraid. The building from 70’s in its original and well restored shape (brutalism) can be little bit confusing when choosing one of the most luxurious and expensive hotels in Prague :) But as she believes me and my high standard choices, she had to admit that I was right when choosing this one. Fairmont made a very very expensive renovation of former old Intercontinental hotel (around 1/4 bilion Euro) and it is well visible everywhere. Staff from reception desk through every bar or restaurant to wellness and housekeeping everybody is perfect. Rooms: our 2 Signature rooms were pretty big with huge bathrooms and very clever design of lightning and furniture. Every detail in hotel feels expensive and high quality. Just one advice. Family offer of 2 rooms does not mean they are next to each other or connected. Many rooms can not be connected because of its design. Despite this issue front desk staff made it and finally we were next to each other. Breakfast is phenomenal. Food and drinks top. The main advantage is the size of Kafka. There is so many space that even in peak hours you can always choose from 10 tables. Many expensive hotels are suffering with lack of space. Here it is like in paradise. Spa and pool is a gem itself. On sunny days You may experience a problem, because it is making You too lazy to leave hotel and go for a walk to the city :) Roof top bar offers maybe best hotel view in whole Prague. Openes in May so now only for look or smoke. If You seek a hideaway in the very city centre with top cuisine and wellness, this is Your place.

We stayed at the Fairmont Golden in Prague as one of four hotels during our Eastern Europe family trip, and unfortunately, it didn’t quite measure up to the others—especially considering the price. The hotel is newly renovated, which is a definite plus, and the overall design feels fresh and updated. However, our room experience fell short. The rooms were quite small, and the bathrooms were especially cramped. The shower design was also problematic, with water leaking out due to small doors. While we had a river view, it’s worth noting that there is traffic directly in front, which takes away from the overall ambiance. Service overall felt inconsistent; the staff seemed somewhat inexperienced and not as attentive as we had hoped. Check-in, in particular, took longer than expected, and we weren’t informed about included room credits and benefits until after we had already checked out, which was disappointing. The breakfast was okay, but nothing particularly memorable compared to other hotels we stayed at. That said, we do want to recognize Kirill and Nursulu, who made a positive difference in our stay. They were very helpful in arranging transportation for us and helped improve our overall impression. This is the reason we changed our review from 3 stars to 4! In the end, while it’s a nice, newly updated hotel, it didn’t offer the same level of value, service, or comfort as the other luxury properties we experienced on this trip.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel and I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. The position of the hotel is central. The facilities are very modern and we found the service and staff extremely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay special. There was also an attention to detail. We had club membership and the people working there were wonderful. So friendly, helpful and obliging.Their recommendations were excellent. They followed up. We had breakfast downstairs and enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the omelette prepared by one of the chef’s.

I chose Fairmont Golden Prague for my visit to Prague - or rather, I actually chose to go to Prague for an extended weekend (and a much needed break) because I realized there was a new Fairmont in town and wanted to check it out. And wow, did they deliver, in particular thanks to Francis and Katka in the Fairmont Gold Lounge. It is obvious that the two take great pride in what they do and deliver, and I am so, so thankful. From food and drinks, via knowledge about the city to last minute meeting facilitation (when partners of work didn’t fully understand that «much needed break» concept) - absolutely no task was too small or too big for them. Katka even found and shared the recipe for a traditional and simply wonderful Czech pastry they served and that I cannot wait to recreate at home. The hotel further deserves praise for hard work to minimize waste and single-use items. I particularly enjoyed the loose tea that one could mix into one’s own personal favourite. And service elsewhere was also outstanding - from impeccable housekeeping services via amazing bartenders keeping up with us during an accidental reunion with old friends in the lobby to the team looking after the gym (great gym also). So a big thank you to all! Actually, the only big problem with service so exceptional is that it makes it hard to leave the hotel. Room for improvement: Yes, but this is a minor detail: The towels in the gym are too small to cover the equipment for those of us who actually work out and therefore also sweat while we’re there. So when it is time to replace them, at least half of them should be twice the size. I look forward to coming back with friends.

Had a fantastic stay at Fairmont Prague, especially in the Golden Lounge. Katka and Francis provided outstanding service, always available and exceeding our expectations—we felt truly special. The fitness center and spa were excellent, offering perfect relaxation and workouts. Highly recommend!
