Golden Well Hotel

A wonderful luxury boutique hotel in an amazing location very very close to the castle with a view across all of Prague from the breakfast table. The rooms are spacious yet cosy and given the busy-ness of the rest of Prague especially during peak tourist times, the dedication of the staff and the ambience are really a wonderful way to experience the city!! Really enjoyed my weekend trip there, would definitely come again.

This was one of the top hotel stay experiences I’ve ever had. The service was extremely professional at every single interaction. The warm welcome, attentiveness and attention to detail throughout the stay left a lasting impression. We’ve stayed with Ritz Carlton many times, and the level of professionalism and warmth this staff exhibited exceeded even Ritz Carlton standards. Highly recommend!

I had high expectations for Golden Well Hotel, but unfortunately, the service was far from a 5-star standard. My experience was marred by rigid policies and, quite frankly, disgusting hygiene. 1. Lack of Flexibility: Since I had an early departure on my final day, I asked if I could move one of my pre-paid breakfasts to a day earlier. Despite having already paid for breakfast as part of my room rate, the hotel demanded an additional 750 CZK per person just to change the date. Their refusal to be flexible for a paid guest was incredibly disappointing. 2. The "Ant-Infested" Sandwich: As an alternative, they provided a "to-go" breakfast. When I opened it, I was horrified to find a swarm of ants all over the sandwiches. When I brought this to the front desk's attention, there was no apology. Instead, the staff dismissively claimed it was "natural" because of the fruit. 3. Appalling Staff Attitude: Worst of all, the staff member proceeded to blow on the ants to scatter them and handed the sandwich back to me, suggesting it was now "fine to eat." I was insulted and heartbroken by such a condescending and unhygienic gesture. While they offered to remake it, I had to leave for my flight and went hungry. While the facilities and views are beautiful, they do not make up for the lack of basic respect and sanitation. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone expecting true luxury service.

Absolutely lovely! Clean and well appointed room with a nice view of both the city and gardens. Very lovely to find the wine and fruit in the room on arrival and then to have little cakes delivered each evening. The small, inviting lounge with afternnon tea was very welcome each afternoon after walking around the city all day. Staff were really helpful and booked taxis for us and gave us information about the city. Restuarant on the roof top terrace was excellent! The breakfast room was beautiful and overlooked the city. The location of the hotel was really good. Not far to walk to the Charles Bridge at all but was tucked away in a quiet street under the castle. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and would love to go again!

If Heaven is a place on earth, it could be here. From arrival to departure a stay at Golden Well is a magnificent experience! Room was splendid, breakfast very, very good, and the hotel in all is very quiet and very comfortable. And, the surroundings are also beautiful! If we go to Prague again Golden Well will be on top of list of hotels...
