The Julius Prague

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it 100%! The check-in and check-out were both fabulous, thanks especially to Hussain. He was extremely welcoming, professional, and helpful. During check-in, he explained everything very clearly and made the whole process smooth. The hotel’s location is more than great it’s right in the middle of everything, making it very convenient to get around and access nearby attractions and services. I stayed in a suite, and I was very impressed with the room. It was spacious, clean, neat, and comfortable. The small kitchen was a great bonus and had everything you would need, which made the stay even more convenient. The service overall was excellent. I would also like to mention Ivan, the door staff, who was a great representation of the hotel. He was always smiling, welcoming, and ready to help whenever needed. His friendly attitude really added to the overall experience. I did have one incident with a receptionist who communicated with me in an inappropriate way regarding one thing that was actually caused by the hotel not providing the necessary information beforehand. However, I appreciate that he later apologized. Overall, I had a fantastic stay. The location, spacious suite, cleanliness, facilities, and excellent service made my experience very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.

Great hotel, very modern and very clean, great attention to detail. I liked housekeeping left 2 full rolls of toilet paper everyday rather than leaving half used toll. Had a 1-bedroom suite with full kitchen so did not take breakfast. Great location to get around either walking or nearby tram. Doorman very cordial and helpful, as were desk staff. Super comfortable bed and pillows. Big bathroom. Great shower. They have a self-service laundry, but hotel laundry service was super fast (hours at no extra charge), very reasonably priced, and all done very well and pressed even without asking, even t-shirts. Wish The Julius was in every city we visit!

Our stay was extremely unsatisfactory, starting with a serious security concern. Housekeeping left the ground‑floor window of our room completely wide open. This created a huge security risk for our room, and as a result, numerous insects including a bee got inside. When we raised this serious safety issue to hotel staff, they claimed this kind of incident had never happened before. They justified leaving the ground‑floor window open by saying housekeeping did it for ventilation purposes. No form of compensation or remedy was offered at all, even though the problem was unfolding right inside our room. The hotel initially suggested deferring everything until the next day instead of offering immediate support. Upon check‑in, we also noticed faecal stains on the toilet seat. We cleaned it ourselves and contacted reception to request extra disinfection. Two female hotel staff who only spoke Czech then came into our room. They appeared visibly impatient, chatted among themselves, and acted extremely unprofessionally throughout the whole process. The air‑conditioning system was also erratic: it swung between being freezing cold and unbearably stuffy. Cool air barely circulated into the bedroom, which severely ruined our sleep quality. Basic security management, hygiene standards, air‑conditioning condition and staff service attitude are all unacceptable. We cannot recommend this hotel to other travellers.

We recently stayed at this hotel in one of the larger Suites. The suite had two rooms, opening windows, effective AC, medium sized fridge, dishwasher, somewhat complex lighting controls and was fabulous. Please discuss your requirements with the hotel if you value space and extra comfort. The location of the hotel is in Prague 1, it is a heritage faced with a thoroughly modern interior. Breakfast was buffet with high quality ingredients and lovely staff. Pay attention to the guidance regarding busies times if you value a calm experience and to avoid the children handling the food. The parking in the basement is secure, well lite, modern and easily accessed. All in all this was a perfect experience for us. Ps Security is enhanced by requiring a guest card to access the lifts.

Exceptional hotel, this is our 4th visit to Prague and this is by far the best property. What makes it exceptional is the standard of rooms, upkeep of the rooms and facilities with a great gym and Business centre/quiet library space and very central location. Staff and managements response to any questions relating to the property, directions and recommendations were exceptional. Well done’ The Julius’ you gone above and beyond what most hotels strive to achieve. A definite referral to friends and colleagues planning on visiting Prague.
