The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos

Florence provided excellent service at check-in and we were upgraded as an added bonus. During our stay, I left a jacket at a restaurant off the resort. I had asked Rootsny to call and see if it was still there. They weren’t answering so he went there and picked it up for me and left it in my room. Don’t think I have had such an amazing customer experience before! All staff always treated you with a smile and so courteous!

This is a Ritz by name but not by experience. The facilities and location are great but that’s where it ends. The staff is literally annoyed that you are there. That are too busy doing nothing. Stay at seven stars! It’s sooo much better! Not as new but the staff the food the EVERYTHING at seven stars is amazing!

Service at the pool, beach, and pool bars were five stars. The bartenders at the pool and volkswagen van bar were honestly the absolute best we’ve ever had (Ritz, Four Seasons, Belmond, Rosewood are the hotel brands we typically stay at). Y-Jay, Herby, and Johnny made our family vacation memorable. Noelia, one of the managers, literally welcomed us with open arms after we had a not so good stay at a different hotel and decided to switch to the Ritz. She made the transition easy. It literally saved our family vacation that I take my parents on once a year. Before we committed to switching, we went to the hotel to have breakfast and check it out. The restaurant reception asked for our room number to which I said “we aren’t hotel guests,” and he immediately responded, “yes you are! You are my guests” with a big smile. That’s when I knew this was the hotel to switch to. The staff at the breakfast spot were so pleasant - totally different experience than our previous hotel. The food is also very good at this hotel, and there’s a great coffee shop. You’re close to walk to many places as well. I had the BEST massage at the spa by Armini … so good I went back the next day to her.

The service was outstanding (5 stars). The food was very good. The beach and pool areas were beautiful. The room itself left a lot to be desired (3 stars). The furniture was damaged and not of typical Ritz Carlton high quality, the walls were marked up and in need of touch up paint, the bathroom floor was moldy, and there was not sufficient exhaust or lighting in the bathroom. Hopefully, the real and personal property managers will become more diligent in their efforts to offer future customers a truly beautiful room -- a truly Ritz Carlton room.

Came here for a girls trip for three nights in November. We had a nice time, the water truly is the most beautiful shade of turquoise, and we didn’t have any “issues”; however, this resort was missing the extra touch you’d expect from a Ritz. We kept saying that this hotel reminded us of a Westin- nice, clean, but nothing special. Also watch out for the no see ums! Fortunately there’s a pharmacy down the road to grab some DEET bug spray… you will need it!!
