The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos

We just finished 5 nights at the Ritz in Turks & Caicos and had a wonderful time. We were there for NYE and it was spectacular to see all of the fireworks on the beach. We splurged this year and got a club-access room. It was fantastic. Sarhan, Reheam, and the team made our time there so enjoyable. In particular, Sarhan and Reheam went out of their way to give us amazing service and they were such a pleasure to visit with. My wife celebrated a birthday while we were there and those two made sure she was celebrated and recognized. The food was varied and fantastic and even though they claim they don’t serve dinner, the hors d'oeuvres were perfectly sufficient to make a tasty and healthy dinner as they had a number of vegetable offerings. In addition, they had a great selection of alcohol and would make cocktails for you on request. We had booked dinner reservations off the property for every night but NYE, and we canceled them all and just enjoyed the chill vibe of the club. In addition, we had booked the dinner and NYE party at the Ritz and canceled that, too, to celebrate at the club. We were surprised how few people availed themselves of the club, but it just went to make our time there all the more chill. It ended up being one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve had and we credit the club for that. Thank you Sarhan, Reheam, and the club team for making it so special. Below you can find the email I sent to guest services about my experience.It has not been a full day at this location, and I am utterly shocked and disgusted in how i have been treated. As an experienced traveler, and an avid Rtiz-Carlton supporter, I will never in my life stay at a Ritz all because of this location. Feel free to read this email at your discretion. *** I am hoping this email finds everyone involved well. This has been the absolute most horrible experience I have ever had while traveling. I would like to start by saying that this room was booked AND PAID for on Jan 2nd 2026. The entire room has been paid and fully deducted from our account as of Jan 2nd. Not a pending transaction, but paid for! Upon checking in, I was told the room was not paid for, and I as a guest am not allowed to check in. This was strange to me because, oftentimes my room is FULLY PAID for by my company, a friend etc; and I am only required to provide a form or payment for incidentals. To my shock I was told that I needed to pay for the entire room, again, and provide a payment for incidentals. When I reached out to the party that paid for the room, and listed myself as an authorized guest... they too were surprised as this seemed odd. She asked to speak with management and management told her that she would need to send the info page of the passport of the person the room is reserved in as well as an email confirming that they authorized me to check into the room. While peaking with the manager she explicitly asked for a payment link, and was told that was not an option. She IMMEDIATELY sent an email with the requested information to ensure there were no delays with the checking in process. Her first email was sent at 5:58 WAT, which is 11:58EST. I WAS CC'D on this email and received it at 11:58EST. Ironically enough, the staff insisted they had not received the email. She then called the hotel 8 times. with one phone call lasting 6 minutes and another phone call lasting 7 minutes to resolve the issue, adn was again told, "A payment link is not an option." Please keep in mind we have already fully prepaid for the room. As we fast forward to attempt to resolve the issue; I am told by a manager that oftentimes, "people will check into the room and, later, it is found that the card that purchased the room is stolen and considered fraud." So, is the insinuation that I am a criminal? Please also consider that while most of the confusion was going on, I suggested that I just book a room for the evening; while things are sorted. But was told that was not an option because the hotel was fully booked. I was also told the only way that I would be allowed to book a room is if they send an email stating they would like to cancel the reservation. And at that point a room will become available. And then and only then will I be allowed to book a room. Well, here is the fascinating part. Emails were sent to the hotel that have still not been responded to. And I was able to book a room in my name. Once I paid for the room, it was at this point that a "manager" spoke to me and told me that he could have sent a payment link. Allow me to list my issues below. 1. Why were we told a payment link was not an option... when apparently it was? 2. Why was I forced to pay for a room that was already paid for? 3. Why was I profiled as a thief or a credit card fraudster, when not only am I a US combat veteran; but someone who was willing to pay full price for a room, and was told a room was not available. Ironically enough, we researched and saw that ROOMS ARE available. 4. Why were we told to send emails to 2 separate mail addresses, and as of yet, these emails have not been acknowledged? 5. Why was I told that someone was making an exception for me, when we have literally followed every rule presented to us? 6. Why was my experience at the Ritz the most disgusting experience, I have had to date traveling. Please keep in mind, upon checking into the room I asked to speak with a manager and was placed on hold. Shortly after the call was disconnected. I then attempted to call back two times and no one answered. It was after the third call, that someone answered and said that their policy is to charge the person checking in full price. Now my question is, if my company booked the room for me, would you have asked for the CEO to adjone me on this trip? I need answers and I need answers ASAP. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. ***

Omg! The staff is incredible! They are quick, very very respectful, my taxi door opened and the staff was right there welcoming us and taking care of our luggage. Quickly but very calmly as not a worry snd on top of everything. If I was about to as a question, they were addressing everything before I even asked. Rose was exceptionally at the desk, O’Neil was incredible at getting our luggage and to our room as he explained everything with precision that was out of this world. I can honestly say I have never experienced anything like it. Very overwhelmed with joy. The room was incredible with an outstanding view. Directly looking at the ocean from a 7th floor view. Bathroom set up was great, plenty of room, separate toilet space , waterfall shower, and a tub with double sinks. Pools were clean, no oil scum comfortable temperature. Not a lot of restaurants on site but walking distance to get food. Casino on site, small but clean, well secured and fun!!

We stayed in an oceanfront room on the 7th floor, and the view alone was unforgettable. Each morning felt indulgent—sipping coffee while gazing out at endless turquoise waters from the comfort of our room was pure bliss. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the level of service throughout our stay was truly unmatched. Dining at Noori and Casa Nonna was an experience in itself—every dish was absolutely scrumptious. A special mention to Mayank Thapa and Freddy, the chef, who truly raised the bar for hospitality. Freddy works magic with his culinary creations, and Mayank’s warmth and attentiveness made the Ritz feel less like a hotel and more like home.

The hotel was truly exceptional, with breathtaking views that set the tone from the moment we arrived. What made the experience genuinely special, however, was the outstanding service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. The team at the beach was remarkable—always present, proactive, and ready to lend a helping hand. The lounge service was equally outstanding. A special thank you to Wildley and Nadya, who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their thoughtfulness and dedication made our stay unforgettable.
