The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos

My family is still talking about our spring break in Turks & Caicos back in March. We are so glad we decided to stay at the Ritz. The accommodations are fantastic. Perfectly located on beach and walking distance to fabulous restaurants (Coco Bistro was a fave). The staff at the Ritz are what made our vacation so memorable. Hyacinth Cooke tended to my young son’s injury sustained at the pool and proceeded to go out of her way to help my son celebrate his birthday when she learned his birthday was approaching. She went way above and beyond. Her compassion was extraordinary! Latoya at Coralie ensured my child with celiac had plenty of food options. It was a thrill to learn they keep a fry machine for those on a gluten free diet. Latoya was so pleasant every single morning - we looked forward to breakfast and seeing her! Jean and Nick at the waterfront stood out because they were so willing to be helpful and make things as easy as possible for my family when down at the beach. Nick gifted our son a huge conch shell on our last day - what a souvenir! Everything about our 7 night stay was perfect and we cannot wait to return and see our friends at the Ritz!

For clarity, we did not stay at the Ritz based on reviews. We read on Reddit and other sites. It said it looked like an office complex. We stayed at the Sands at Grace Bay, which was very nice. However, we spent most of our time at the Ritz because of the restaurants in the casino and the vibe we could’ve saved $500 on our rental car had we stayed at the Ritz. I cannot speak on the rooms at the Ritz, but the Restaurant BLT Staak and Noori Sushi were amazing. Don’t let it bother you to comment that it looks like an office building. It did not look like that at all.

Girls trip. Second trip to Turks. Enjoyed our stay here. Facilities are clean. Beautiful beach and pool! Service at both were quite slow. However, Jevon was our favorite! He made our trip memorable! We liked that it was walkable to Coco bistro, Infiniti, and Shay cafe. We also made the 20 minute hike to Thursday’s fish fry. We’d definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Turks & Caicos and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing, especially considering the level of luxury and service expected from the Ritz-Carlton brand. The beach itself is absolutely beautiful and honestly the only reason I would ever consider returning to this property. Grace Bay remains stunning. However, beyond the location, the customer service was among the worst I have experienced at a luxury hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service felt disorganized, inattentive, and lacking professionalism. Staff communication was inconsistent, requests were either delayed or ignored, and there was very little sense of hospitality or genuine care for guests. Simple issues became unnecessarily frustrating, and overall the experience never reflected the standards associated with a five-star resort. For the price point, expectations are naturally very high, and sadly this property did not deliver. Luxury is not only about beautiful facilities — it is about service, attention to detail, and making guests feel valued. That was completely missing during our stay. It is unfortunate because the property has incredible potential due to its beach and location, but management seriously needs to improve the guest experience and customer service standards. At this time, I would not recommend this hotel if you travel to Turk and Caicos Island.

Turks & Caicos was an absolute dream come true! The staff was incredibly professional, friendly, and personable, making me feel like family. The hotel was spotless and catered to all my personal needs. The food was simply amazing. Whether I was enjoying a beachside meal, a drink at the bar, a hearty BLT Steakhouse dinner, a relaxing coffee experience at Ritual, or savoring sushi at Noori, every bite was a culinary delight. I highly recommend Turks & Caicos for an unforgettable vacation experience.
