Everything about our stay was exceptional. The tents were large and comfortable, the bathroom and showers sensational. The food varied and amazing. The excursions really well orgainised with great guides. The views to die for. Juan was the star of the show - fantastic host. I cannot recommend thi splace highly enough - an dhaving so many giant tortoises roaming around was just the icing on the cake.

A Truly Exceptional Experience -- Highly Recommended

I've stayed at top-of-the line adventure resorts all over the world and Galapagos Safari Camp ranks among the best. I'm so happy we booked our stay there versus a cruise or AirB&B. Everything about our experience was exceptional. The tents are amazing. The right amount of "glamp" - extremely well appointed but you still feel you're in the middle of nature -- waking up to the sounds of the birds in the forest. The common facilities are wonderful, open and conducive to meeting other travelers and making friends. The chef is exceptional -- each multi-course meal is a gourmet creation. And the portion sizes are perfect (not gluttonous). But hands down what differentiates Galapagos Safari Camp is the staff and guides. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and handle everything down to the last detail. While the Safari Camp is expensive -- all the arrangements are made, the fees are paid and you don't have to worry about a thing. But more important, they will bend over backwards to ensure your stay is exceptional. We had made a special request regarding our accommodations, which most resorts would never have agreed to -- at least without considerable extra expense. When the staff asked management about it -- they made it happen that day -- no questions asked and without additional charges. They go above and beyond to give you a truly unique experience in a truly unique part of the world.

Amazing family holiday in the Galapagos Islands

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

Our family of 6 (adult children, ages 23-29) spent our Christmas Holiday 2023 as guests at Galapagos Safari Camp. The experience was everything we had hoped it would be. The facilities/grounds, food/cocktails and especially the staff were exceptional! Belen, Jorge, Juan and Alek will be remembered :) Tents were spacious, and well appointed, and the showers were hot with pressure. Our excursions were well organized and our Park guides (Tanya and Duncan) passionate and knowledgable ambassadors of the Galapagos Islands. If you are looking for an active holiday that combines luxury with eco-responsibility, then the Galapagos Safari Camp is a great choice. I booked the GSC with very little research ... what I read, I loved and so I prayed that our experience would be everything I dreamed it would be. The small scale of the camp allowed for meaningful family time. Being land-based meant there was a fair bit of travel time to our boat and onwards to the islands, but it also meant we could have our own space when needed.

Exceeded high expectations!

I spent almost three weeks in Ecuador, including one week in the Galapagos, with stays in Santa Cruz, Floreana, and Isabela. At no other property did I experience the level of attention that I received at Galapagos Safari Camp. The property is located at the end of the road, up against the national park, so you don’t really have neighbors. You are in this magical spot, with amazing views of protected land and the vast ocean, to the north and west. There are several points of interest in the camp, including the lookout point, the pool, and the beautiful reception area, with a proper lounge for cocktails and… very relaxed lounging. But perhaps the best place to hang out is at your tent, on the large terrace, which is constantly visited by mocking birds, finches… owls and even giant tortoises. It’s pure magic. The tents are simple, but large and tastefully appointed, as you would expect from a true safari camp. There are fans in the room, but you do not need them, especially in october. At night, it got chilly and I ended up closing the window flaps, and adding the extra blanket to the bed. Another one of the awesome highlights is the dining experience. The food was fantastic. They truly source most of the ingredients in the immediate area. The kitchen is led by two chefs that are top-notch. Again, we visited great spots on this trip, and this was where service was a highlight.

Great experience with nature; super comfortable!

Oh, what an amazing place! Galapagos safari camp is situated at the top of a mountain with beautiful views over the plains all the way out to the ocean. Sunsets are beautiful. But by far the best thing about this place is the staff. So incredibly friendly and accommodating, they think of every little thing to make, our stay perfect. They have a wonderful chef, who prepares gourmet, top quality, fine dining, and they serve it just like you’d expect of a Michelin rated restaurant. Are they have beautiful wooden tables with wood from Indonesia and some wonderful art spread out all over. A very nice infinity, pool and lots of birds. There are a number of tents that are very nice, but if you can get the owners suite, it is, really fantastic with air conditioning and a very modern bathroom and super comfortable. It even has a couple of bedrooms attached if you have a large family. Stefanie, the host was super friendly and helpful, and our nature guide Jose must have a PhD in Galápagos history and nature, because he was just so smart, and really brought out the best in our nature walks. Very fun to walk around in the town and the staff arranged for wonderful meals at really nice restaurants with beautiful ocean views. If you’re going to go to the Galapagos, which I highly recommend, it was very fun, this Galapagos safari camp is definitely the place to stay. The only tiny negative was the road that leads to the camp. It is a dirt road and it has over 20 kind of bumpy things that make you have to almost stop the car, so it makes the drive annoying. It’s only seven minutes but it would be good if they pave that road assuming the government allows roads to be paved.
