This has been one of our best resorts to go and relax. At 75, the party scene is about over, but they do have things happening all the time. We love its location away the turmoil of PV. It has a real nice Adult only Pool which is great when they patrol and keep the kids out, kids have 3 large pools of their own. Rooms are large and views nice. The food this time was horrible compared to the 8 other times we have been to this resort. It could have been the time we went; one week after Easter and lots of Mexican families and tons of kids and Tequila. We love the south end of the bay, not the Nuevo end.

We spent our honeymoon here, 29 years ago. We hadn’t been back until now. This trip and Barcelo was so worth it! Next time I would pay for the Premium. We didn’t, and were placed on the second floor directly above the nightly party in the cantina. It didn’t ruin our trip at all, but I’d imagine others would have a real problem. The buffet was solid. We didn’t eat there every meal, but there was a wide variety and it was good. The drinks were flowing at all times, which we really loved. The pools are awesome and the iguanas travel around and are friendly. We didn’t experience a ton of bug bites until the last day. So that was strange. Definitely hit the massage places on the beach. Very reasonable pricing for an excellent massage. You’re a little isolated at this resort so if you want to be downtown partying every night in the club scene this probably isn’t for you. We will go back for sure.

Oscar Martinez was a great server in all areas, very friendly and personable, knowledgeable!!! Beds are very comfy, large rooms! I was disappointed with the waterfalls around the property not working the whole 10 days we were here, but a beautiful place to stay!

Pros: The resort is stunning, with beautiful and picturesque surroundings. The room was lovely, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We also enjoyed the heated pools, which were both fun and cozy. Cons: Unfortunately, the buffet food was disappointing. It offered the same options every day, lacking true variety. It felt like they were recycling leftovers from the previous day. The only enjoyable dining experience was at the Spanish restaurant, where the lamb chops were fantastic. Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of entertainment. The resort seemed more focused on catering to families with kids, leaving little for adults. There were no clubs, dancing, or live music available. Overall, we had a relaxing time and enjoyed the pools, but I’m not sure I would return, as it feels like the resort primarily caters to its own guests.
