Reviews for The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort

Wonderful property!

Hotel itself is beautiful and peaceful. Visited for 3 nights for a kid free getaway. The room was great, and loved the butler service, if even only used for morning coffee service. Edgar was fantastic!! He made sure to note my dietary allergies and brought a pastry for both of us in the morning that we could enjoy. We enjoyed the beach or pool each day we were there. Someone was always quick to bring water and there for service. Beach is definitely rocky, but still relaxing to sit with the waves. One of the highlights of the room was the outdoor shower. We loved it!! And sitting out on the balcony each morning with our coffee/tea and pastry to watch the waves roll in. Food is the only negative of the property. It’s fine, but very pricey for okay food. Went in to town our last night and had a fantastic dinner for less. You can get a car service directly from the hotel. Uber can also pick you up, just make sure to give your driver your room number and let your butler know they are coming. Well worth it to leave the property for food. Overall great stay and would definitely come back!!

Stay April 26th to May 1st. Room: 5203 I am a Titanium Bonvoy member and as such I was upgraded to an Ocean View room and had access to the full breakfast buffet for my wife and I at no charge. We were at the hotel in late April and the second-floor room had a cool breeze in the morning and evening. The property has a lot of green foliage with tall palm trees so our second-floor room was like being in our own isolated jungle room. The weather in Punta Mita is about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than Puerta Vallarta. The hotel has 120 rooms with more than 300 employees, (my estimate) which is a very high staff to room ratio. The hotel has a very high level of service, but a guest pays about four times the rate of a Marriott hotel like the one at the Marina in Puerto Vallarta. In my opinion you are not getting four times the value of the other Marriot hotels in the area. The hotel has three pools that all have a different vibe and menu offering. I never had a problem with finding a vacant place to sit at the pool or beach with lots of extra room to spread out. Once you find a location to sit, the attendant will put towels down on the chair and bring a bucket of bottled water and replace them throughout the day. During the day at the pool/beach the staff will bring small bits of food, ice cream and pop corn just to name a few offerings. I especially enjoyed the cool towels during the hot days. The rooms are all nicely appointed with live plants and flowers. Our room had two shower areas, one inside and the other outside. However, the inside shower floor was very slippery when wet and they did not have any grab bars. I especially enjoyed the outdoor shower that had a non-slip floor and you could listen to the birds. We received twice a day maid service that included an evening turndown service. The butler service is nice and all my requests were met within less than five minutes. The only time I needed the butler was for ice and a golf cart ride, but they will provide other services if asked. Our evening dinner was in Punta Mita about ten minutes from the hotel. The hotel offers black car service to and from town, just call the front desk and indicate what you need. The cost is 180 MXN to town and 360 MXN to return. The cost to travel to the airport is 2,200 MNX. The property is very secure and you have to go through two guard gates to gain access to the property. The hotel does not have a taxi stand at the entrance, only their black cars. The hotel does not offer money exchange services, only an ATM, so bring your Mexican pesos with you. Overall, the St. Regis makes the Ritz-Carlton hotels look like a poor country cousin in terms of service and ambience but at a HIGH Price. The day of check out all three of the butlers on duty came to my door to say good bye, which is another way to say they would like a tip. Once I arrived, I was told that the hotel does not have a permanent general manager. The old GM, Mr. Gonzalo Guelman Ros departed on April 2nd and no longer works for the company. I would like to mention several hotel employees who helped me before I arrived and after: Victor Avalos at the Marietas Pool did a great job of taking care of us when we were at the pool area. He was always around to take our food and drink orders. My drink glass was never empty. He adjusted our towels during the day and give us new ones as needed. Valentina Gonzalez at the concierge desk who gave me a wealth of information on the hotel before I arrived. She made all of my dining reservations before I arrived. She emailed me a confirmation for each reservation with the names of the contact at the restaurants. I think she went above the normal standards of service. Manuel Moreno is the manager at the Las Marietas restaurant where we ate breakfast every day. All of his staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Most of the staff knew my name and how we wanted our coffee. He went out of his way to ensure that we had American Coffee every day. All of the coffee at the hotel is from Nespresso coffee machines which we do not like, so they had to go to the kitchen and make our coffee especially for us. The hotel may want to consider offering American coffee as an option instead of the pod-based coffee machines.

Fantastic stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spent a week here in April with my husband and two sons, ages 12 and 14. From the moment we arrived until we left the staff was wonderful and eager to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The resort is low key and very relaxing. The sunset views are incredible, pools are wonderful and clean. Beaches are a bit rocky but that is the natural landscape. My teens enjoyed spending some down time in the kids club playing ping pong and board games. The food was spectacular. Our room was perfect! We all enjoyed the outdoor shower and terrace every morning. We went fishing through the charter company at the Seabreeze beach club (on site) and had a wonderful time. The captain brought some of the fish back to the resort and the chef made us a wonderful dinner! Everything was amazing! It was hard to leave to resort to come home but we look forward to returning someday soon! Worth every penny!

St. Regis Punta Mita embodies true hospitality

"I want to express my sincere gratitude to The St. Regis Punta Mita for an incredible experience at their beautiful resort. I am already looking forward to returning. The serenity and service exceeded all expectations. Our room, managed by Hayari, was a perfect escape with stunning beachfront views and an outdoor shower. The morning tea and coffee service was a lovely touch before heading to breakfast. Karen at check-in left us with a fantastic first impression, and the entire staff, including the bellman and butler, provided superb service. Mauricio, my initial contact at the resort, was exceptionally professional and knowledgeable. The breakfast staff were also excellent. Special thanks to Sigfrido (Sixth) and his team for the wonderful dining experience, including a visit from the chef. We enjoyed the food so much that we couldn't finish two pizzas! Next time, we'll skip the guacamole and crudité before the sabering to save room for dinner. The St. Regis Punta Mita embodies true hospitality, and I can't wait to visit again."

Spectacular stay!

My husband and I spent three nights at the St. Regis Punta Mita and was spectacular! We absolutely loved everything about it. Our room, 7301, Ocean view Junior Suite, had the best view and we loved the location of it - super close to what felt like the adult pool, and also a short walk to the Sea Breeze bar and that entrance which made the walk to the Golf Club very quick. The service was impeccable throughout, with special thanks to Leo and Marianna our butlers, they were very responsive to any question or need that we had. We visited almost every bar on property and especially enjoyed the tequila tasting with Luis at the Altamira bar. The property is in great shape with views of the Pacific that truly were stunning. If you are a golfer, I highly recommend a round of golf at the Pacifico Course; their Hole 3B, "Tail of the Whale" was a lot of fun and completely unique. So many beautiful holes right along the water. The chicken tacos at the Deck Grill at the course were delicious, too! We absolutely loved our time here and cannot wait to go back.
