Alila Kothaifaru Maldives

The bed was indeed very comfortable. We both had a restful stay on this beautiful island. The service staff were friendly and helpful. The spa is not to be missed as the therapists' deep massages were well worth the time spent.

We stayed in Over the Water Villa #208 from June 15–25 to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and our anniversary, and it was truly a dream come true. Our villa was perfectly situated—facing the lagoon with a beautiful sunrise view. We especially appreciated that the deck received full sun until about 11 AM, after which just the pool and part of the deck stayed sunny—ideal for us since we enjoy being outside without constant exposure to direct sun. The private pool was a highlight, and snorkeling right off our deck was great (though the sea can get a little rough depending on the time of day). The room itself was beautifully designed, with modern décor, a spacious bathroom, and a very comfortable bed and pillows. The in-room coffee and tea selection was also a nice touch that we enjoyed daily. We came to relax, so we didn’t join too many activities, but we did attend a few dinners and a fun pizza-making class at Pibati Sul Mare (highly recommended!). We also used the gym (small but well-equipped) and visited the spa twice—both massages (deep tissue and Balinese) were exceptional. The spa setting was stunning and added to the experience. A big thank you to our host, Yoonus, who went above and beyond. He arranged everything from buggy rides to dinner reservations and made our celebrations incredibly special with room decorations, thoughtful desserts, and personal touches from the staff. We chose the à la carte option and usually had a late breakfast and dinner, or early breakfast with a late lunch. I had been concerned about the food, but it exceeded expectations. Every restaurant served delicious dishes. We especially loved Mirus Bar for sunset meals, and Yakitori Bar for drinks and poke bowls. Our anniversary dinner at Umami was excellent, and the breakfast spread at Sea Salt was impressive with endless options. What stood out most was the exceptional service. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Had a wonderful stay at Alila Maldives. For our last dinner, we choose to eat at the Yakitori restaurant here. The food was great! Thank you especially to the Yakitori team, Alex, Chanaka, and Bhelly, for their wonderful service. It was such an unique experience. I love the special drink they made for memories in Maldives

It was absolutely amazing experience and all staff that we met were so perfect. It impressed us a lot! We even decided to extend our trip. Villas on the beach and on the water were both are amazing. You should definitely try both of them. Really appreciate the staff

The staff accommodated our last minute booking. Rooms were lovely. Service was exceptional and all staff were super helpful and always seeking feedback. Attention to details was exceptional. Food was great and chef Frank always checked on us. Personalized check-in and checkout process was also very appreciated.
