The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur

Just returned from our 4-day trip to Jaipur. Given the time constraint, I was sceptical that it would be a very hectic trip and relaxation would be out of the question. But The Oberoi Rajvilas completely changed my mind and turned into a marvellous experience. We had booked a room with a private garden for our stay. To begin with, we were welcomed with garlands and a cheerful staff, including the security guard, on our arrival. Upon asking, we were informed that the property spans 34 acres, covered in lush greenery. There are approximately 100 Peacocks and peahens nesting, along with a home to a wide variety of birds and squirrels. We saw around 25 ourselves, on our way to the hotel room, on the roof of our hotel room and probably in every corner of the hotel that we visited. Next comes the food. Be it in-room dining or at the Surya Mahal restaurant, the food was really mouth-watering. We had some new dishes that were a part of the Rajasthani Thali (make sure you have an empty stomach before you order one, cause we couldn't finish ours ☹️). We also tasted Scallops, Laal Maas, Chicken Bhuna, Shrimp Roll and ofcourse the Kebabs. The Hotel also has a wide variety of breakfast menu (buffet). The à la Carte menu for breakfast changes every day. You can also place a special request (in the form of advance booking) for your breakfast or lunch or dinner. This, I did make and the Luchi & Aloo Dum were just mouth-watering (I think, I'm gonna miss that during my breakfasts back home in Mumbai). Now comes the part without which my review wouldn't be complete. The excellent staff at the hotel. They work relentlessly to make sure that you have the experience of a lifetime. They make sure that it is relaxing enough for you and cater to all your needs to the best extent possible. A special mention to the front desk staff, Thapa and Chef Abhay. We requested an early check-in and a late check-out and both our requests were honoured. Abhay took care of us like a member of the family. He made sure that we did not starve during our sightseeing trips. He packed us lunch (sandwiches) and also made sure that fruits were added to our diet. Both the check-in & check-out formalities were seamless and without much time. Unfortunately, due to the shortage of time, I couldn't book a spa appointment or spend time at the swimming pool. But this gives me an opportunity to visit in future and spend some time experiencing these facilities. The grounds are amazing. The staff are superb. The food is next to none! We truly enjoyed our 5 day stay. I have never stayed is such a beautiful place.

Best value for money. From the time you walk it, you are treated like royalty and every staff makes sure you have a comfortable and memorable stay.

This experience was even better than I had imagined. An oasis, a perfectly curated royal experience from welcome to farewell. The property is a bit away from the city but it affords the guests an opportunity to really relax and enjoy all the facilities. Amazing pool and spa. Exercise options. There’s a mall within 10-15m. The landmarks are also within easy driving distance. Every member of staff was welcoming and friendly. There was nothing that we asked for that we didn’t get. The pillows were extremely soft but they do have a pillow selection that you can order from. They have the best toiletries. The food was amazing and the menu was extensive. There is only one restaurant on the property though, so it’s limited in that respect.

Our stay at The Oberoi Rajvilas was nothing less than exceptional, it was a royal dream. We were welcomed with much warmth and grace and were provided with express check-in, in less than 5 mins we were in our beautiful room where every single thing exuded luxury but with a personal touch. I have never in my life seen so many beautiful peacocks together, playing eating and roaming around casually. Special thanks to Shariya who made us so comfortable and took care of everything that we would need before even us asking for it. Also thanks to Vishal Virmani, the General Manager and the front office for providing guests with such a beautiful and warm experience that will last forever. In most places guests are welcomed warmly but here at Rajvilas even the goodbye was tough, they sent us back home so beautifully that we cannot stop talking about it. Thank you so much to the entire team. What made my stay truly exceptional was how my kid was taken care of. All the staff at the pool and in the restaurant were so friendly and caring for my baby that she enjoyed it really really a lot. I am looking forward to another vacation already with Rajvilas, this time with the whole of my family to celebrate special occasions because what can be more beautiful than this?
