The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur

We were fortunate to experience a 2 night stay at the first of the Oberoi Vilas- The Oberoi Rajvilas in the beautiful city of Jaipur. The property is absolutely stunning. There are many elements which make the property unique for example there is a 300 year old Shiva temple within the property which has been preserved with all its sanctity and lots of birds including peacocks which have naturally made the sprawling gardens their home. The service as usual was exemplary and this is the only hotel chain where I find it pointless to take names because the service and warmth by every single staff is at the same extraordinary level. The food and service at the restaurant was amazing and they offered everyone personalised care. The rooms are great and extremely well maintained. The housekeeping team deserves a special mention. Once you experience the hospitality of The Oberoi group you will be hooked for life!! Definitely recommended for a luxury stay at Jaipur

Oberoi offers beautiful hotels, and one of my favourites is the sheer beauty of the rooms, the grounds and the meticulous condition of all the facilities. The rooms are very comfortable with fantastic bathrooms, oversized baths, and a generous supply of toiletries and towels, and they have a range of rooms from luxury tents to pavilions with plunge pools and regular oversized rooms. It depends on your budget. All rooms have coffee and tea facilities, and housekeeping will keep your filtered water needs topped up.. Overall, the staff is professional and friendly and does everything they can to make you comfortable and welcome. Restaurants are great with delicious, fresh food and excellent local dishes. Service was always excellent, with helpful suggestions from the team. The pool area is beautiful, and the spa offers a great range of holistic and basic manicures and pedicures. Peacocks abound, and you will meet these birds across the gardens. They do their thing, and after a few hours, you learn to enjoy their calls to each other.. My only comment on the negative Invest in Dyson hair-dryers for your guests. (I do not work for Dyson, just a regular fan of these ) And the pillows in our rooms are in an unfortunate state of condition a sad lumpy offering . This is the perfect hotel for an end-of-day or beginning-of-day stay after the busy streets of Jaipur. It's an oasis, back to Calm.
