Reviews for Reykjavik EDITION

Beautiful hotel and location just a bit pricey!

Beautiful hotel wonderfully located. Had two rooms one standard and one suite. Both rooms had beautiful views onto the harbour. The suite and its bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast was nice. You have to choose between buffet or a la carte. The buffet is plentiful so will please everyone. Staff was very professional. As the Blue Lagoon was closed the hotel was able to accommodate us last minute ( 48 hours before) so really appreciated. My downside was the total cost of our stay. Its a wonderful 5 stars but its definitely the most expensive I have stayed in and I am not sure it's justified excepted that Iceland is very expensive anyway. For that reason we didn't eat in the restaurant but we found plenty of options in the city. Overall a lovely stay.

One of Iceland's gems

This hotel is the epitome of service that you would expect at a luxury five star hotel. We arrived very early from an overnight flight with no expectation of our room being ready. Contrary to this the staff found us a private space to relax and expedited an upgraded suite which had a lovely view with floor to ceiling windows. A special thanks to Jane at check-in for looking after us. I also need to mention that all staff with whom we interacted with are a credit to this hotel. It is obvious that customer service is their mantra. The bar is relaxing, coffee shop has fantastic coffee and good for a quick bite. Tides restaurant is in another review for dinner but a definite must. Best lamb ever. The breakfast buffet at Tides is very good, offers variety and you are always greeted with a friendly welcome from Gabriella. An excellent luxury and well maintained hotel with staff who are super friendly and genuinely make you feel like a valued guest.

upmarket hotel in Reykjavik

Excellent hotel in the heart of downtown Reykjavik 2 Minute flat walk from bus. stop #5. The pick up / drop off point for the airport shuttle and most of the island tours. The room was extremely spacious and well laid out (the rainforest style shower was very relaxing) The buffet breakfast was an eclectic mix of hot and cold items and open early enough that you could eat before going on an all-day excursions. The only negative point was that you could not apply the destination fee to the breakfast buffet but other than that I can highly recommend the hotel

Warm Hospitality

Had a great stay in the Edition. We were warmly welcomed and had a smooth check in by Damian from the reception. The entire reception team was very helpful with dinner reservations and to give local insights. Housekeeping was top and we really enjoyed our breakfast in Tides with a large spread and offering. Glad we took time to have a drink on the rooftop bar, the view is definitely worth it. Would definitely return if I travel back to Iceland.
