Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana

We had a suite overlooking Copacabana Beach, which was absolutely amazing. Our room was fantastic and it stayed very clean with the service of Janaina. All the cleaners that assisted us were amazing. We definitely recommend staying here.

Thanks to everyone at the Fairmount Copacabana for a wonderful stay. This place is amazing. Beginning with a wonderful welcome at Reception by Daniel. He gave us great advice even as he was checking us in about attractions and things to do. Rooms were great with service second to none from the housekeeping team, turning the beds down on an evening, we even got embroidered napkins with our initials on in the bathroom!!! Brilliant... Food, pool and facilities great we couldn't fault it. We upgraded to Gold lounge and I would recommend as we loved eating in the private lounge on the 4th floor with its complimentary drinks 6pm till 8pm. Beer wine and spirits. Have to give a special mention in gold lounge to my friend Thiago who looked after our every need, always smiling and attentive as well as the very hard working Duarte who again did a fantastic job taking care of us. We travel the world a lot and this is one of the best hotels we have ever visited, we'll done to all.

The hotel is in a great location right across from Copacabana beach. Our suite was very large and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. Thank you Fernando, Ramon, and Marcelo for making our stay unforgettable. When in Rio the Fairmont is the only place we'll stay.

I've stayed at many of the hotels on both Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches and this by far is one of the best. The staff are exceptional - all warm, welcoming and highly skilled in English. I felt totally secure the moment I stepped foot on their property line along the trendy part of Copa. My suite was just ideal featuring two nicely sized rooms - a bedroom with a king sized bed and an adjoining living room - both with full balconies overlooking the Atlantic and the gorgeous vistas. The AC was powerful and the bathrooms (yes two) both spacious. The bed was typical Fairmont style which means you'll always get a great sleep. If you are facing Avendia Atlantica, keep in mind that there is (very loud) activity from the lifeguard area starting often with a 5A energized group of people (never did find out who they are except that I think they were in training each morning) and then again at 6A and 6:45A which also followed a trumpet playing some call to action. It can get pretty loud if you are a light sleeper. The food outlets there are also terrific featuring a wide array of delicious options for all dining interests. The bar area overlooking the ocean and pool is also exceptional and becomes quite the buzzy spot towards sunset and once the live entertaining perched floating on top of the pool deck starts to perform their classics. The front of the hotel offers a full valet and driveway area which makes Uber and taxi pick ups so easy and its ideally located right at the epicenter of Copa and Ipanema - each just a short walk from the front doors. I think this has become my new go to hotel location when in Rio.

Beautiful hotel, amazing location with views over the Copacabana beach and the staff were super helpful! Murilo especially so at breakfast 😊 Breakfast was delicious and all the meals were great. The rooms were kept to a good standard and the massage I had at the spa was wonderful!
