I booked this hotel and then read the reviews and was honestly dreading it. These fears were unfounded-we loved it! It’s so near Spanish steps and central for everything. We were a party of 5-me, my husband, 2 daughters 21 and 18 and 13 year old son. We were given Verdi and Puccini rooms which are opposite each other and behind further security door, so basically adjoining. Girls had their own space-perfect. Quirky decor! Clean (and I’m a clean freak!) Lobby is fine-can’t understand bad reviews for this? It’s clean and functional. Rooftop terrace is where complimentary breakfast served. Decor bit ‘granny’s house’ but perfectly acceptable. Staff at breakfast so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Food is pastries, bread, caprese salad, meats and fruit/veg. Eggs snd bacon also available. Im a toast person for breakfast and it suited me fine (toaster is sooo slow though! 😂) they bring you coffee (espresso/cappucino available which is lovely!) or hot chocolate. I think they did serve drinks there at night but we preferred to be out and about (you’re in Rome!!). Loads nice restaurants/bars locally too. There are a lot of stairs and the lift scared me (but it’s an old building in Rome!) the staff are lovely-the girl who checked us in (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name!) was just lovely, so bubbly and friendly. All staff would stop for a chat and always say hello. It’s not a chain faceless hotel, it’s quirky friendly and very Roman! So central (pop out early in morning for fab photos on Spanish steps when very few people about). I’d definitely go back!

We had a great stay. We had the deluxe rooms on the second floor. They even arranged for our family of five to have adjacent rooms. We could look out our window and see the Spanish Steps. This location is great for shopping and a walkable distance to the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and Villa Borghese - about 15 minutes each. Piazza Navona is also less than 20 minutes. Both of our rooms were spacious and the breakfast was great. Everyone from the staff was friendly. We’ll definitely stay here again if we make it back to Rome. My only ask is to upgrade the rooms to have some USB or USB-C outlets.

This is our third trip to the Inn at the Spanish Steps. We enjoy the location and the accommodations are great! The Staff at the Inn are very thoughtful and helpful. The morning breakfast and service are amazing! We feel so comfortable there, and would return in a heartbeat. It never gets old.

Room was nice but service was not up to my standards. Too many steps to get to each floor and to the roof garden. Poor looking lobby. Too close to the Spanish Steps and noise at night. I would not go back.?

Terrible hotel you think you are staying there but when you arrive you are advised that it’s a 10 min from the hotel for our room. Which was not a hotel room but a room in an Air B &B. No amities or room service.
