We travel a great deal and stay in many very good hotels around the world, so it takes quite a lot for a property to leave a lasting impression. Orient Express La Minerva absolutely did. For us, this stay was in the top league and without question one of the finest hotel experiences we have had so far. From the moment we arrived, everything felt polished, warm and genuinely thoughtful. We were also given a very generous upgrade, which was a wonderful gesture and set the tone for the entire stay. We stayed in the Stendhal Suite, and it was truly exceptional. The suite was spacious, beautifully composed and full of character, with remarkable architectural details that gave it a very special sense of place. The painted ceilings, the soft lighting and the balance of historic charm with contemporary comfort made it feel both grand and inviting. The living area was especially memorable, and the whole suite had a calm, elegant atmosphere that made it very hard to leave. The bathroom deserves special mention as well. The shower in particular had an almost incredible sense of space and felt genuinely luxurious. It is rare for a shower to stand out in one’s memory, but this one absolutely did. The Guerlain amenities were also excellent and added another refined touch to the experience. Another detail we greatly appreciated was the open bar in the suite, which was included in the rate and stocked with very fine spirits. It was a very pleasant and generous feature, and one more example of how thoughtfully the guest experience has been designed here. The location is ideal for discovering Rome on foot. So much of the historic centre can be reached easily and comfortably, which makes the stay feel relaxed from the outset. It is a perfect base for both first-time visitors and those who already know the city well. The food and beverage experience (in both outlets) was also very strong throughout. We loved having breakfast served in the suite with the beautiful view over Piazza della Minerva, but breakfast in the restaurant was equally memorable. The format was a very pleasant mix of a small buffet and à la carte service, which felt both elegant and relaxed. A particularly lovely detail was the harpist playing during breakfast. That is something one encounters very rarely, and it created a calm and very special atmosphere without ever feeling intrusive. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Beautiful hotels exist in many places. What is much rarer is a team that creates such genuine warmth, ease and personal connection. Everyone we encountered was professional, gracious and attentive, but never in a way that felt formal for its own sake. There was a natural kindness and confidence in every interaction that made the whole stay feel very personal. The personal use of names was especially well handled and contributed a great deal to the sense of being truly welcomed rather than simply processed. That may sound like a small detail, but it makes a real difference. You feel recognised, looked after and entirely at ease. In the best sense, it felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being hosted by very good friends. We would especially like to mention the concierge team around Alessandra, as well as Irene and Daniel at the front desk. (Just to mention a few). They were outstanding throughout: warm, efficient, thoughtful and consistently helpful. Their hospitality felt sincere and never rehearsed. They are a major reason why this hotel stands apart from many others, even at a very high level. There was also a small communication issue during our stay, and it was handled in a calm, gracious and entirely appropriate way, fully to our satisfaction. In our view, moments like that say far more about a hotel than when everything simply runs as expected. The team dealt with it with professionalism and care, and that left a very positive impression. Housekeeping was also excellent. Very, very thorough, discreet and clearly operating at a high standard. The turndown service was equally strong and done with great care. Everything in the suite was maintained beautifully throughout. We also appreciated that the high level of hospitality did not end at departure. The post-stay communication was just as thoughtful as everything else, with a kind message thanking us again for our stay and confirming that our luggage had been collected as planned. That kind of follow-through is rare and says a lot about the seriousness with which guest care is taken here. This is an outstanding hotel in a superb location, but above all it is a hotel with heart. The building is beautiful, the suite was exceptional, and the service was remarkable throughout. We travel a lot, and this one truly plays in the top league.

Just returned from a 2-night stay at La Minerva and just wow. From the moment we checked in until we left, the service was exceptional. Every member of staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing. My wife couldn’t decide between the French toast and the eggs Benedict, so the staff kindly brought out both for her, which was a lovely touch and really shows the level of hospitality they offer. We also really appreciated being offered a late checkout so we could return to the room and freshen up after a very wet day out. Small gestures like this made the stay even more comfortable and memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended.

Absolute perfection from the start! Check in was flawless and every conversation with the arrival colleagues was personal and genuine. Dinner at Gigi was excellent, and breakfast each morning was delicious, and Luna helped to make it joyful and fun. She was a pleasure to get to know. We were also very lucky on our final night to enjoy the Wagon Bar where we enjoyed the most creative drinks we’ve had in a very long time. The Roma was displayed on a pedestal, and the Venezia was poured from a small gondola. I could go on and on. Thank you for making our brief stay memorable!

Our stay at Orient Express La Minerva in Rome was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. From the very first moments, we felt genuinely welcomed: the check-in experience with Irina was impeccable, seamless, and warm. We also had wonderful interactions with the concierge team, especially with Alessandra, the Head Concierge, whose warmth, kindness, and humanity bring a truly special soul to this very luxurious world. We were fortunate to stay in a stunning room, and every thoughtful gesture throughout our stay contributed to making it a truly memorable experience and made us feel extra special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the attention to detail throughout the hotel is remarkable, and the hammam was a pure moment of relaxation and well-being. Breakfast was exceptional in every way, and the presence of a harpist during breakfast — WOW! A magical, timeless moment that perfectly captured the spirit of this extraordinary place. Orient Express La Minerva is not just a hotel; it is an experience filled with elegance, emotion, and genuine care. We will cherish these memories for a long time and cannot wait to return.

A truly stunning hotel in the best location you could be , steps away from The Pantheon! It was a luxury oasis of calm amongst the busy streets of Rome . The room was beautiful and we had the best sleep , so quiet. It is a new property so everything feels very fresh but here you will find the level of service you would expect from a luxury hotel and everything you need on hand , a must stay.
