Grand Hotel Plaza

Poor experience, damp smell in hotel. Walls paper thin between rooms. Could hear an entire conversation in the next room including the person on the other line! Room flooded today when a water mains pipe burst in the hallway. Hotel reception could only tell us they understand over and over when we raised this issues. Hotel is a quaint beautiful old world building but in need of alot of restoration. We travel to Rome annually and this experience was disappointing

It was very frustrating when on Business trip, carrying lot of office work and the hotel dont have Internet. one of the unpleasant stay in my recent past stays in other cities. Pros: City center, access to most of the places by walk, good staff Cons: No internet for whole duration of my stay

This place is an absolute sham and scam. Nothing about it is five stars. If I could give this place one star, I would. We checked in and they gave us a dirty room covered in hairs with dirt on the bed. We asked for a clean room and they showed us to a smaller room without a tv, or towels or a working shower. They told us it would be "awhile" for the shower to work. We waited for hours as we needed to go to a wedding. We were forced to take cold showers with old towels as they told us nothing else could be done about the shower. We spent over $500 a night for this place and had paid for champagne in the room upon arrival which never came, of course. TV not fixed, no bathrobes as advertised on the website. Everything about the place was a colossal disappointment. Tell everyone you know to avoid this place like the plague.

Stayed here 6 years ago and it was absolutely superb. Looked forward to returning a couple of weeks ago and was so disappointed. The check in was awful we were told to wait until our room was ready and were then forgotten about until i asked what was happening. Wrong luggage delivered to our room. Paid for B&B but going for breakfast told not included. The service in the the dining room and in the bar was merely adequate. At breakfast which was supposed to start at 7:30 we were told they had forgotten to prepare any eggs and they did not appear until 7:50. No longer a 5 star hotel. Not recommended.

We enjoyed our stay in the Cupola di San Carlo al Corso Suite. It had 2 beautiful terraces. The front desk / concierge service was great. They helped us with dinner recommendations and transportation needs. The hotel is old and grande and stunning. We found it perfectly located with very walk able area. The included breakfast and restaurant was perfect for us. We would recommend this hotel.
