Rome, Italy is a city that requires the use of superlatives in its description. Western culture and history call this modern city home, as can be witnessed in the beautiful architecture, breathtaking collections of art and sculpture, and even in the stones beneath your feet. Rome is a place to feast the senses and inspire the spirit, and the Hotel Dei Mellini is the place to rest your head at the end of each memorable day. Located on the right bank of the Tiber River, calling the Spanish Steps and St. Peters Cathedral as close neighbors, guests are privy to vistas and access that few encounter in this legendary city. Opulent and comfortable, with modern amenities and an Art Deco décor, the Dei Mellini is your luxurious address in ancient Rome.

Second visit to the Hotel Dei Mellini and it didn't disappoint. Stayed in a deluxe room on the second floor with a view of the quiet street below. Excellent bathroom, plenty of towels, slippers, bathrobe and good quality toiletries. Comfortable bed so slept well. Heating controls easy to use. Helpful staff and all very friendly. Great location. We managed to walk to all of the major tourist sites. Even the Colosseum, which was the furthest away, only took us 45 minutes. One small criticism would be the breakfast. Would like a larger selection of hot food (there were scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon and sausages). Also would like a wider variety of pastries. Had pain au chocolat on the first morning, but none available on the other three mornings of our stay. But this would not stop me from returning again.

i very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. i was here for 8 days and found the location to be perfect for seeing so much of the vital part of rome one visits. being close to the tiber was a plus as the sunset photos were very beautiful. the front desk was gracious and helpful always as were the assistants and bellmen. the morning breakfast was varied and the wait staff exceptionally nice and obliging. i do plan on returning on my next visit to rome.

Location is great as it is close to multiple historic sites and restaurants. Hotel staff service is average, there were items (like extra pillows and towels) which I had requested and never delivered ( I didn't bother to ask twice). We booked the King Deluxe room, bed is comfortable and room is quiet, room is on the small side and the decor is more dated than the picture on the website.

Hotel Dei Mellini was the perfect choice for our trip! The staff were all friendly and excellent at what they do. Very polite, respectful and helpful to all their guests. Hotel rooms were good size and prestine condition. Love the bidet! *wink* haha. Breakfast buffet was alright, not a standout. It isn't a negative comment but rather an honest opinion. The hotel location is about 15mins walk going to St. Peter's Basilica - Vatican. All other tourist spots are within walking distance or via short taxi ride if you don't wish to walk. Would come back and stay with Hotel Dei Mellini again next time. I would also recommend the hotel to all my friends and family for sure.

My Husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Dei Mellini. We could not have been happier with the staff, our room and location. Hope to return.
