Rome, Italy is a city that requires the use of superlatives in its description. Western culture and history call this modern city home, as can be witnessed in the beautiful architecture, breathtaking collections of art and sculpture, and even in the stones beneath your feet. Rome is a place to feast the senses and inspire the spirit, and the Hotel Dei Mellini is the place to rest your head at the end of each memorable day. Located on the right bank of the Tiber River, calling the Spanish Steps and St. Peters Cathedral as close neighbors, guests are privy to vistas and access that few encounter in this legendary city. Opulent and comfortable, with modern amenities and an Art Deco décor, the Dei Mellini is your luxurious address in ancient Rome.

What are great stay! We were here for three nights. The hotel is conveniently located. We walked to the Spanish Steps and the Vatican. The hotel staff was helpful, friendly and courteous. The staff called a taxi for us to go to the Colosseum. The taxi arrived in four minutes. This was standard operating procedure for them. The breakfast was delicious. The rooftop terrace was great way to unwind in the evening with a full bar in the lobby area. Our room was exceptionally clean and quiet.

The location is terrific. This is the quiet side (Vatican) of the Tiber. It's a nice residential neighborhood with restaurants and lots of services nearby. Walk, bus or taxi to everything. The staff were very helpful and the service terrific.

We were booked here for 4 nights in Rome before a cruise and 1 night 2 weeks later. The rooms are comfortable. The room we had for the last night was amazing. On the top floor with 2 balcony’s we really enjoyed that room. Here is where the service surprised me. I had forgotten a toiletry bag when we left. After arriving at the ship to start our cruise i called them and they said they had it and would keep it for me when we returned in a couple of weeks. Well we arrived for our final night and they could not find it in the time that we were there. Less than a week later I received a package and it was everything i had left. I was shocked and happy. I really thought it was gone forever. I appreciate the service of getting that back to me and follow up that this hotel provided!

Mrs. Marta and Mr. Paul was the absolute best. Very professional and knowledgeable. Made our family feel like part of their families.

Nice small hotel in the city centre. It’s located on a quiet street away from the traffic noise. We stayed in a suite which suited us perfectly as we had two separate rooms and separate bathrooms. The suite was nicely decorated although it was a little tired looking in places , a few cracked tiles in the bathroom that should be replaced and the wardrobe doors were dragging on the floor, both would be easy fixes in my opinion. The rooms were very clean with a turn down service in the evening. The breakfast in the hotel was quite good with a nice selection of everything hot and cold , and tasty fresh pastries. Any staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant but had a couple of drinks on the rooftop terrace which was nice . The location of the hotel is quite good with it being about 20/30 minutes walk from both the Vatican and the Spanish steps but away from the really busy streets and noise . We enjoyed our stay and would have no problem recommending it to anyone visiting Rome.
