We went to the palm court restaurant unfortunately we had a terrible experience due to the loudest grand piano playing I’ve ever heard in a restaurant that completely ruined our evening it was impossible to hold a conversation even the waiters were having trouble hearing the orders and they did agree that the piano playing was ridiculously loud .. it was as if he was doing a grand performance on a stage rather some background music in a restaurant It completely ruined our evening we couldn’t get out of there quick enough and talked to another couple who thought exactly the same . The ego of the pianist was unbelievable. The head waiter tried to get him to play a little softer and more gentle music .. but the pianist wasn’t having any of it he continued to bash the keys .. we all left with head aches … don’t go there !

From the moment you step in to the Hassler, you know that you are in a very special place. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is extraordinary. Professional, yet totally warm, helpful, friendly. You might think the Hassler will be overly formal/stuffy but it is not that way at all. Our room was really beautiful--wonderful beds, with great duvet and cloud-like pillows. Rome was super busy when we were there during Jubilee--but we returned from the intensity of the city to a place of tranquility. Totally 5 stars and an incredible experience in every way.

Absolutely first class all around! We were treated so well by all of the staff. Definitely will be visiting again. Delicious food, coffee, plush beds etc.

Arguably the queen of Rome’s hospitality trade, the Hotel Hassler is regally ensconced atop the Spanish Steps in the city’s historic center and on that attribute alone scores premium points for visiting acccessibility to Rome’s famed tourist sites like St. Peter’s, the Pantheon, the Coliseum and the Fontana di Trevi. A property of the Leading Hotels of the World hotelier group, the intimate Hassler has 87 rooms and suites accommodating a range of stay requirements from the lavishly sumptuous for visiting royalty to the merely posh for the lower orders. All visitor ranks nonetheless receive the discreetly attentive service featuring the hotel’s signature outstanding guest care. Rome has an overwhelming panoply of attractions that easily draws guests’ attention away from appreciation of the hotel’s own property attributes, but it is worthwhile exploring the hotel’s courtyard and gardens, peerless rooftop views of the city and the outstanding food proffered by its restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Imago and the Salone Eva, and Bar service reportedly highly favored by the likes of Princess Diana. When in Rome, might as well splurge on yourself like the Romans do with a stay at the Hassler. Just pulling up at the elegant front entrance to check in is a trip all by itself.
