Unless you are a celebrity or someone the hotel deems important. I strongly encourage you to stay elsewhere. The first room we were assigned was above the ongoing construction of a spa. Sledge hammering from 7:30AM to 10:30pm. The second room was half the size and below the patio bar. The sedan we paid for to take us to the airport was replaced by a minivan. Throughout our four night stay we had hollow apologies, but no action. It was clear the Hotel Hassler doesn’t care about “regular” people—all for $1,600 a night. How do you say “take advantage of” in the Romano dialect of Italian. Before selecting the Hotel Hassler, consider taking your hard-earned money elsewhere.

We went to the palm court restaurant unfortunately we had a terrible experience due to the loudest grand piano playing I’ve ever heard in a restaurant that completely ruined our evening it was impossible to hold a conversation even the waiters were having trouble hearing the orders and they did agree that the piano playing was ridiculously loud .. it was as if he was doing a grand performance on a stage rather some background music in a restaurant It completely ruined our evening we couldn’t get out of there quick enough and talked to another couple who thought exactly the same . The ego of the pianist was unbelievable. The head waiter tried to get him to play a little softer and more gentle music .. but the pianist wasn’t having any of it he continued to bash the keys .. we all left with head aches … don’t go there !

From the moment you step in to the Hassler, you know that you are in a very special place. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is extraordinary. Professional, yet totally warm, helpful, friendly. You might think the Hassler will be overly formal/stuffy but it is not that way at all. Our room was really beautiful--wonderful beds, with great duvet and cloud-like pillows. Rome was super busy when we were there during Jubilee--but we returned from the intensity of the city to a place of tranquility. Totally 5 stars and an incredible experience in every way.
