Set in the heart of Rome at the start of the Via Veneto, Hotel Sina Bernini Bristol has been welcoming guests in grand style since 1870. Recently restored to its original grandeur, it maintains the glorious traditions of the past with an exquisite collection of elegant, European-style guest accommodations. Magnificent lounges filled with antique furnishings offer views over Tritone Fountain, while the Mediterranean and international cuisine served at L'Olimpo restaurant delights the most demanding of gourmands.

We stayed 2 nights at the end to our cruise. Hotel is in an excellent location with lots of restaurants nearby but there is a lot of traffic and it’s very busy (we saw someone hit by a bus). We went to the rooftop bar on both nights, the cocktails are wonderful and they serve a lovely selection of snacks with them. We couldn’t get tables with the panoramic view due to private bookings on both nights but we we asked the private party if we could take some photos and they kindly obliged. Breakfast was ok but not what I’d expect from a 5* hotel. Staff were all very professional and friendly throughout the hotel. Room was very underwhelming and basic but there was a fridge and coffee making facilities. There wasn’t much space for clothes and beware of the wardrobe doors, we both nearly broke our fingers opening them due to the design of the handle. The bathroom was very dirty, grime in the shower door and I slipped on the slime left in the shower (see photo). The mattress was uncomfortable and hard, and we were cold during the night as the heating didn’t seem to work. We booked the hotel through the cruise line but wouldn’t stay here again due to the cleanliness of the bathroom and general ambience.

Our room was amazing, super clean, enormous, and had a beautiful terrace! Cannot say enough about how great our experience was, terrific friendly staff and housekeeping, nice rooftop bar! Walking distance everywhere in Rome as it is pretty centrally located, taxi stand right outside of entrance if you prefer to ride Definitely would return when/if we ever come back to Rome!!

3 night stay at this hotel while working with Rome. Location is excellent. Very close to a metro station and a short walk to Trevi fountain with lots of restaurants, shops and a small supermarket nearby. Location: 5/5. Check-in experience was quick friendly and efficient. I was given an upgrade to a first floor room overlooking the main street. Check-in 5/5. Room: For 500Eur/night i had high expectations. My 'upgraded' room suffered from a lot of noise from the street but this didn't really bother me. The room was not large but not too small. Bathroom was spacious and spotless. No english language channels on the TV other than news. Aircon was effective and very quiet. Room score: 4/5. Breakfast was included in my 500Eur rate and served on the 8th floor. On the 3 days i had breakfast i found the waitresses to be cold and unfriendly every single morning. I was consistently ignored and when i asked for something it was never delivered correctly or with any warmth. On the first morning i asked whether they would do poached eggs and was told this would cost extra, but fried eggs were included?????? I asked for over easy eggs and these were overcooked (see pic). How can a hotel charging this much charge for poached eggs, and not know how to make a proper fried egg? I asked for a capuccino and received it cold. This morning i asked for a white Americano and got a black one. Aside from the awful service, the selection of breakfast items was fairly reasonable. Breakfast score: 4/5 for selection of items, 1/5 for the waitresses who should not be customer facing. Overall, for 500Eur/night i would not return to this hotel. There are better hotels in rome for just over 50% of what i paid.

Beautiful location and rooftop restaurant with stunning views, but our suite was smaller and older than expected, with little closet space and no bathtub, while family had a larger suite. The room door did not close properly, we had to carry our luggage up stairs, and terrace access was often restricted by private events. Reception referred me to a front manager who was never present. A very noisy night above our room made the stay quite disappointing.

To start, our room smelled like raw sewage. Certainly a plumbing issues. They did not take care of it despite multiple calls. Then, at checkout, we noticed an extra $700 charge. They claimed room was for one person and you had two individuals. Having stayed with Marriott for 30 years, rooms are per always priced per night based on double occupancy. We did not exceed occupancy and we did not have breakfast. They refused to adjust. They are crooks.
