Featuring 96 guestrooms, Six Senses Rome is uniquely positioned at the heart of the city, overlooking via del Corso, steps from the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Protected by the Roman municipality and UNESCO listed, the façade and monumental staircase have been restored to their original splendor. As part of our first community project, we’ve supported significant renovation work to revive the façade of San Marcello al Corso Church next door. Six Senses Rome is a green oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Start your day with a healthy breakfast at BIVIUM Restaurant-café- or on our NOTOS Rooftop with panoramic views of the surrounding neighborhood and monuments. After a day of discovery through our out-of-the-ordinary experiences, restore tired legs at Six Senses Spa, which fuses the ancient art of Roman bathing with contemporary, high-tech biohacking therapies.

This review is for the spa experience. I stayed somewhere else at an Air BNB but wanted to try the detox program for 350 euros, which included a wellness screening, fitness class, 90 minutes Roman baths and 60 minute hamman. I had a wonderful experience overall and felt super relaxed afterwards. The wellness screening is a non invasive test using electronic plates to take biometrics. It tested things like cardiovascular health, circulation, stress, immunity levels etc. not exactly sure how it works but everything is done electronically through hands and feet and a couple of magnetic connections at the forehead. It was interesting to see my health profile and what I need to work on (mainly managing my cortisol levels). Depending on your test, then they either give you a yoga class or a fitness class. I went with the fitness class as I want to be more tones so had a private training session in the gym which was nice and had me sweating at the end (I work out often but mainly cardio vs weights). Then I spent 90 minutes in the Roman baths which was very nice and clean. Spent time in the sauna and steam rooms (both very hot) and the hydrotherapy pools. Then i did the hamman at the end which was basically a body scrub and it was super relaxing and help ease my muscles. I finished the day with a detox juice and relaxing in the lounge. Overall a super day and a great way to spend the afternoon when it’s 95 degrees and sunny out! I love that in European spas you don’t need to tip extra (unlike in America). So for me it was worth it and spent about 5 hours here in total. The staff was super lovely and helpful and there are snacks and water to drink.

Definitely not worth the money charged. Bad food and poor choice, slow and unfriendly service, opposite high floor rooms there is a rooftop bar with loud music, cleaning done irregularly and finally expect smell from rooftop restaurant kitchen in your bathroom if you are staying on a high floor. These problems are most likely the result that Six Senses franchises the brand and so quality can vary dramatically from hotel to hotel.

On the 2nd night of our stay, a Cartier bracelet was stolen from a jewelry box in the room. While the hotel staff expressed surprise that such an incident could occur in a five-star establishment, they showed little genuine concern and no real interest in investigating the matter or finding a resolution. Shockingly, the hotel refused to review or share the security footage, which would have been the most logical step—especially considering that room access is controlled and recorded via key cards and there were no signs of forced entry. The only action taken by the hotel was for the Assistant Front Desk Manager to accompany us to the police station to file a report. Beyond this, the hotel showed little initiative or care. Our direct message to the Hotel Director remained unanswered, and no meaningful effort was made to investigate the theft or provide compensation. The circumstances of the incident strongly suggest the possibility of an inside job, which makes the lack of follow-up even more alarming. What’s even more upsetting is the fact that we felt unsafe in our own room—something one should never experience in a five-star hotel of this category. At no point did the hotel management make us feel that they were genuinely committed to addressing the situation or making it right. As for the concierge team, while they appeared generally well-intentioned, the level of service did not meet the standards expected of a hotel in this category. During our stay—coinciding with the ATP tennis tournament in Rome—we expressed interest in attending a match. The concierge informed us that tickets were sold out, which turned out to be untrue. Tickets were in fact readily available through various online platforms, and it would have been a basic expectation for the concierge to assist with such arrangements. Additionally, multiple reservations were mishandled, made under the wrong names, or entirely forgotten. On one occasion, we arrived at a rooftop bar only to find that our reservation had never been made. The team was often unable to assist with other straightforward requests as well. All in all, our experience was far from what one should expect from a luxury hotel of this level. I cannot recommend this property and strongly advise future guests to proceed with caution.

Room - spacious as advertised. The walk in-closet is not too useful though as we only had a short stay so if budget doesn’t allow I think a normal room is fine without the upgrade. I love the bathroom design though! Good water pressure and temperature control. Roman bath - we really enjoyed that and went twice. Too bad we booked the spa too late and didn’t manage to secure a slot. Breakfast - we love the buffet selection. The made to order hot food selection was generous although not particularly impressive. We enjoyed our stay overall.

I have not yet checked into this hotel and am considering canceling my 4 night stay given the tour they want to book for me is $2,200 USD - a private 3 hour tour of Palazzo Colonna- whatever that is. I though perhaps there was a typo but no- they wrote back that the tour's price is reflective of the exclusivity and personalization of the tour (nothing has been personalized since I was only given a price, I wasn't asked any questions nor did I offer any personal information). Furthermore the hotel said it is a bespoke experience tailored specifically for me- HOW? They never met me nor spoke to me. DO THEY THINK I AM A COMPLETE IDIOT? BILL GATES WOULDN'T PAY $2200.00!!!
