Reviews for The St. Regis Rome

A very Grand and Classy Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 16 hours ago

The minute you step into the lobby you know that you are in a very special place. And every member of the staff you encounter are there to make you feel very much at home. I love space, and it was wonderful to be upgraded to a suite, which made the stay even more comfortable. Even before I arrived I was in touch with your fantastic Concierge team whose suggestions were spot on, and I followed meticulously. Elizabeth , who checked in me in was again most helpful. And I had hardly reached my room when your Butler team introduced themselves. They promised, and delivered my favourite brew, an iced Americano, perhaps the best I’ve ever had. I breakfasted daily and had two meals at Lumen Cocktails and Cuisine. Apart from the great food, I was made to feel like family by Ivana and all the others who looked after me. And your pianist/singer was simply terrific, and sang every song that I might have requested. And it was wonderful to be always greeted personally by your very superior Door and other staff. I should really have noted the names of all your team to Thank each one personally..this was my first stay at The St Regis, and not only will this be my regular home in Rome, but it will also bring me back to the Eternal City more often.

Expect to pay luxury and receive Motel 6 customer care

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Beautiful expensive but never again. The concierge was unfriendly who seemed to be bothered when I asked a recomendation for a nearby restaurant. He had a attitude like was completely shocking. he seemed to be more interested in his mobile phone than his job. The restaureant he recomended was the wrst food we had in Rome. The worst part is we forgot a personal item and again the attitude was I was bothering to get the item shipped to my next location in Italy. They never got back to me. A luxury hotel with an attidute. You would expect with the amount of money you pay to receive all the effort to try to accomedate you. And honestly I would have expect to be shipped promptly and free. St regis goodbye never again.

Hotel Fantastico

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We recently had a four night stay at the St Regis Rome and we could not be better pleased. The hotel gives a great first impression with their amazing lobby. Check in was quick and efficient. Out room was spacious and well appointed and the bed was super comfortable. The best part of our stay was the wonderful, warm, welcoming service, especially for all the staff at their bar and restaurant. We had breakfast there every morning and dinner twice. Every time their staff made us feel like part of their family. In a city known for its great food and amazing restaurants, the fact that we had dinner here twice tells you everything you need to know about the quality of their food. Every single dish we tried here was delicious. Their breakfast buffet was also exceptional. All in all it was a memorable stay and I highly recommend the St Regis Rome.

Peaceful elegant retreat from the heat and crowds of Rome

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel has opened in 1894 by Cesar Ritz, and became part of the Marriott St. Regis family about 10 years ago. We were staying at another property in early July, and stopped by the St. Regis to have a coffee and pastry and noted the serenity one feels upon entering. There were two young ladies playing violins in the lobby as we arrived and we made a note to stay at the St. Regis on our return to Rome several weeks later. It felt wonderful to entered the elegant air conditioned lobby again. We checked in and the room was luxurious befitting the St. Regis standard. Marble bathrooms, quality linens, comfortable bed. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant that evening and were surprised when our waiter appeared with a bottle of champagne and opened it with a sword for the room and poured drinks all around. Great fun and good people watching. The location is walking distance to the train station and right next to the old Roman bathhouses.
