The perfect retreat in which to rest and recharge before heading out for another day’s adventures in Rome
From the moment we stepped in the hotel’s front entrance, our stress levels went down. Everything—the staff, the room, the food, the service—deserves the highest praise. The entire staff was unfailingly kind and helpful; the room (ours with a balcony had a beautiful view) was a restful retreat from a day in the crowds; the food was excellent (dinner via room service on the balcony was amazing); the service was prompt, efficient, and always with a genuinely friendly smile. The location, on via Vittorio Veneto, is both quiet and convenient. And as a bonus, there is a taxi station right beside the hotel.

Beautiful quiet convenient hotel
This was a wonderful place to stay for this first time Rome visitor. Good location. Walk everywhere. The room and bathroom were huge. Very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was delicious and so was the pizza we had for dinner one night. Very nice staff.

We Loved It
We really like the Westin Excelsior and would stay there again if in Rome. It is next door to the American Embassy. Our room was huge and very quiet as it faced an office building. The closet, bath, etc were older decor, but very large and we really appreciated the space. Everyone we encountered was lovely to us. This was part of a Regent Seven Seas pre cruise stay and we're very glad they selected this hotel.

Great location and very comfortable!
We recently visited Rome and we stayed one night at this Westin. We really liked the location which was about a 5 minute walk from the Spanish steps. The hotel has a friendly/professional staff, nice rooms and comfortable beds! We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Rome!

haven of rest
after a long overnight flight, arrived about 7 am rome time, only to be told room won’t be ready until 3 pm. wow. BUT the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. had a wonderful breakfast, they held our bags, we ventured out (felt good to walk after 9 hour flight) and the time passed quickly as we took in the sights nearby, and fortunately were alerted that our room was ready, and upgraded. beautifully ornate room, water bottles, comfy bed, tub, view. after a short nap, we ventured out again, ate at Harry’s down the street, (wonderful) and came back to hotel for a drink at their lovely bar. staff here couldn’t be more helpful, coffee, tea, water available off lobby at all times. beyond pleased.
