Meneghetti Wine Hotel & Winery

beautiful location for long walks and bike rides, atmosphere and style the most beautiful place and hotel for a vacation in Croatia, full of beautiful details inside the hotel and rooms. Food excellent, wines from the own winery phenomenal as always. Staff very helpful. Rooms are huge on 2 floors with a beautiful furnished terrace for sitting and lying outside. Everything so clean. On a much higher level than the Tuscan villas we have been to. The price is not at all high for what the hotel and hacienda offer. This is certainly one of the destinations we will return to often.

The restaurant is large and extremely nicely laid out, much of it in the covered terrace built on the side of the old farmhouse. The chef is totally brilliant. The food was creative, beautifully presented, and tasted great. Highlights for me were the use of local black truffles. As I was staying I’ve the Christmas period I ate there 6 times over 4 days. There are plenty of different choices on the different lunch and dinner menus. The wine list is HUGE, with a large selection of wine from the vineyard and all around Istria. There are also international wines eg from France and Italy. The sommelier Andy was exceptional - we had fun together debating the nose of certain wines. The waitresses are also so professional and friendly, especially Lucia and Nika. This place is great for a few special meals in you are a foody and a wine buff.

We recently stayed at Meneghetti Resort & Winery, and it ended up being the highlight of our entire trip. This property absolutely deserves every bit of its five-star rating—and then some. Service: The service was outstanding from start to finish. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay exceptional. You feel looked after in a way that’s increasingly rare. Food: The food alone is worth the trip. Despite dining at several Michelin-starred restaurants during our time in Croatia, the meals at Meneghetti were easily the best we had—beautifully executed, creative, and consistently memorable. Honestly, it’s crazy this place doesn’t already have a Michelin star. Winery: The on-site winery and wine tour were another major highlight. The wines are excellent, and the experience felt both educational and relaxed. It’s the perfect complement to the resort’s overall atmosphere. Beach Club: The beach club is very cool—stylish, peaceful, and a great place to unwind with a cocktail or a glass of their wine. It feels exclusive without being pretentious. Location: One important thing to note: the resort is very remote. That’s part of its charm, but it does come with a practical consideration—there are essentially no taxis in the area unless you’re willing to pay a crazy amount. Planning transfers in advance is a must. Overall, Meneghetti is a truly special place. If you’re looking for a luxurious, serene escape with exceptional food, world-class service, and a fantastic winery, this is it. We can’t wait to return.

Great romantic getaway for couples. Quiet and secluded. Good food and service. Spa is my favourite. A lot of amenities available on site.
