Safety Harbor Resort & Spa

This was my first time visiting this spa and I was pleasantly surprised I bought the Sunday Funday package for my friend Lynda and I and we both loved it our tour guide was Jessica she was nice and informed us of all the anemities we had at our access during our visit and showed us around they have these little waiting rooms for you to wait in with water and coffee until your called for your massage. Me and my friend sat and talked and played catch up because we haven't hung out in a over 10 years so it was really nice. The massage was great! Full body 50 minute Swedish massage very nice soft music warm table. Then we used the sauna, then sat in one of there jacuzzi for awhile then cooled off in the pool. We then had a choice of the grill or tiki bar to eat brunch that came with the package so we chose the grill. My friend had a Salmon dish big piece of fish fresh looking she said it was good she couldn't even eat all and saved room for her dessert. I had a chicken dish it also was very good it was stuffed with bacon and sour cream and had cheese on top came with veggies and some mashed potatoes there bread was sooo good it came hot with butter.I was please with the prices they were not bad at all my dish was $21 dessert $9 and my package gave me $32 to eat with plus a drink ticket for a glass of Champagne but since I didn't want alcohol I got a mocktail instead all was very good and I will be going back with my husband if for nothing else but to eat lunch, I took a piece of cheesecake to go it also was good. You need to take a swimsuit or 2 especially if your staying all day my package gave us the ability to stay until 10pm we left around 4 because we were sleepy and stuffed after Lunch/early dinner. They have lockers changing rooms for ladies and for men, blow dryers for your hair, shower gel in the showers for your use, lots of towels and nice white robes you get to use and walk around in it's like a little slice of heaven for a day.

My experience was top notch from beginning to the end! The reservationist (MaryAnn) was very patient with ALL my questions. The wellness coordinator (Mary) was so personable. She sent our schedules before our arrival! Our pickup from the airport was timely (Robert). He was so knowledgeable about the area, giving us insight about the area. Mary met us upon our check-in and gave us a quick tour which was so helpful! The food was amazingly delicious! I couldn’t believe how we were able to order off the “real menu”… not some “package generic menu”! We tried something new each meal! We ordered ALL breakfasts as room service, which was delivered hot every time! The services were excellent (massages, facial, body wrap, fitness assessment & training; and the hands-on full body stretch was a treat). The classes were such a nice experience (Pilates, stretch & relax). I will recommend that my friends come and I’ll definitely return!!! Thank you ALL the staff were so courteous & pleasant. Lastly the other people attending throughout were all so friendly too!

Everything was absolutely perfect! I had a deep tissue massage with Richie and a European Deep Cleansing Facial with Insuk and both were equally awesome! I also spent time in the pools, including the plunge pool, steam room and sauna between my services and it must be something about the water because I felt wonderful all day and into the next day feeling so relaxed. It was the best days off I have had in years!!

I stayed here with my daughter to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. The property itself feels quite old and outdated, which I was willing to overlook—but the service and management issues were much harder to ignore. I prepaid for the stay through the Chase travel portal. Upon arrival, I was asked for the card used for the booking and another card for incidentals. I provided my Chase card, only to later discover that I had been charged a second time for the room. Resolving this was unnecessarily difficult and took nearly two weeks. Check-in was supposed to be guaranteed at 4:00 PM. We arrived early at 3:00 PM to enjoy the grounds, but didn’t receive our room keys until 4:40 PM. This left us scrambling to drop our bags and rush to dinner. When we returned that evening, we found the bathroom floor was visibly filthy—completely unacceptable for a resort at this price point. Communication after the stay was just as frustrating. It’s nearly impossible to reach the property directly—you’re routed through a generic answering service that doesn’t seem to have any real knowledge of the resort or the ability to help. When I followed up about the double charge, I was told there was no manager available and had to wait a full week just to hear back. While they initially said they would waive the resort fee due to the condition of the room, they never followed through. After the billing was finally corrected, I was told no additional refund could be issued because the stay was “non-refundable,” despite the clear issues. To add to the frustration, we attempted to book a simple spa service (a pedicure), only to be told they were fully booked for days—something you would expect a resort to better accommodate or at least communicate in advance. Between the billing errors, poor cleanliness, lack of accountability, and inability to even reach someone who can help, this was not the relaxing birthday trip I had hoped for. We will not be returning.

My husband had a meeting. I enjoyed the facility. Unfortunately I left an item in the hotel room and contacted them. They have not mailed it to me. Their information on line says they will return lost items. I'm very disappointed in the facility for not returning my item.
