Safety Harbor Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My wife and I stayed here for three nights toward the end of January 2026. We were traveling on vacation with two other couples. The main event was a friends wedding reception at the resort (had a great time). The thing I was not aware of is that the facility is very Greek - all the paintings, architecture, floors, columns, ceilings, everything is greek. That's OK we just weren't aware of it and it is a little unusual to see so much Greek in a hotel. It turns out the surrounding area has a lot of Greek also. The hotel is huge. It was clean and OK. The town right next door is great. It's a really nice area to explore.

Moms day spa

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I had a really lovely experience at this day spa. The customer service was genuinely warm and attentive from start to finish, which immediately set the tone for a relaxing day. The massage was excellent—skilled, thoughtful, and exactly what I needed. I was also pleasantly surprised by the food: simple, fresh, and satisfying. The amenities were well maintained and comfortable, offering everything you’d want to unwind without feeling over the top. While this isn’t a lavish, ultra-luxury spa, it delivers quality where it matters most—service, treatments, and a calming atmosphere. It was a perfect day getaway for two moms.

Wellness Retreat is well worth it.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I did the 7 night Wellness Retreat and it exceeded my expectations. The spa treatments were fantastic, the fitness club and classes were good, the food was great (everything was included), and all the personnel did an outstanding job. The hardest part was finding time to fit everything in. Mary S. went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests and to make sure we had the best possible experience. I have been telling all my friends about it and I definitely want to come back.

Check your bill!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I traveled to the resort with a friend in November. As soon as we checked in, a mistake had already been made with the billing. I also applied a $1,500 gift card to my stay while there. In the attempt to fix it, my credit card was over charged by $2,500. They attempted to credit my account however it never went through. When I called to let them know, they put the responsibility back on me as the consumer to do the work to fix it. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and notified them that I had done so, however I expected that they continue to try and research and fix it on their end since they made the error. They continued to insist that it went through on their end. I even sent them copies of my statements to show them that it never went through. They acted like I had done something wrong. After countless hours of work on my part and they no longer responding to my email communications, they did run the credit through again... almost 4 weeks later. When I reached out to ask why they had not notified me, I was informed that she had done it against her better judgement and what others had recommended not to do. A month later my account was finally credited with the over charge. I never received an apology on the front end or on the back end for the trouble I had to go through. There was no offer of any compensation for the inconvenience. Once I left there and they had my money they were no longer concerned about my well-being.

Terrible Customer Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Normally not one to complain about hotels, restaurants, etc. That said, I need to alert those that are considering this establishment. The biggest red flag comes from management itself. Rude and obnoxious conduct from front desk and “management “ seems to be the norm. From beginning to end, Shamir and a “manager” by the name of Nicco were nothing short of disrespectful and rude. If u hate your job, quit! If you are going to be mean, disrespectful, and condescending towards guests, then get out of a customer service oriented business.
