We had a wonderful stay at this hotel – everything from start to finish was amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely, always friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. A special touch that meant a lot was finding a birthday cake and card left in the room for my partner – such a thoughtful surprise that really made our stay extra special. The only downside was our experience at La Cucina. Unfortunately, the menu wasn’t very varied, and we found it quite hard to read, which made choosing a meal difficult. This was a bit disappointing compared to the high standards throughout the rest of the hotel. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return – just might skip La Cucina next time.

Excellent hotel. Travelled here with my family and some friends and their families at the end of last year. From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough for you. They helped us out the car with our items and concierge took them to our room. Rooms are spacious and luxurious and we had a lovely sea view. The restaurant was wonderful and although a bit pricey, the food was delicious. Another night we rented the golf simulator and this went down well with my boys. You can play football on it so this was well received. If you choose you can have food and drinks in this bar whilst sitting on the couches to watch the golf simulator. The breakfast was amazing and very plentiful. There was a slight wait for pancakes but they were being made fresh by the chef and there was quite a queue for them. Service was excellent at breakfast and food delicious! The highlight for us was finding the greenhouse outside with all of the produce that they grow to cook in the restaurant. The gardener spotted us having a nosy and invited us in. He let me try some of the peppers and my son some of the blueberries. Really welcoming lovely guy and it was great to see. They even have a bee hive with their own honey. Overall a wonderful stay and we did return at the beginning of the year. It's not cheap but the service is above and beyond anything else we've been to so we will continue to return. 10/10.

I stayed in the Fairmont for 3 nights, with my bridal party and then with my new husband on the night of our wedding. Upon check in the receptionist couldn’t seem less interested if he tried, and asked if we were doing anything nice during our stay. I had put in the notes I was getting married? A bit awkward. Our room was ready early which was great, and they had very kindly put a bottle of Prosecco in the room for us which was appreciated. However the room (2027) was quite worn and tired, there was orange limescale in the bathroom and the valance sheets were frayed. I also received 2 champagne flutes as a wedding present which we used in the room, and we returned to find they had been taken. After phoning reception, they were returned, however they were extremely dirty and hadn’t been washed. Unsure why our property was taken from our room? The breakfast was good, however we had to wait almost 20 minutes on vegetarian sausages, by which time we had already finished most of our breakfast. The coconut yogurt was also off and tasted vinegary, but we did let a member of staff know. Overall, the service and staff are good, however the rooms are tired and need upgraded, particularly considering the prices charged.

Beautiful hotel with stunning location and foyer. Our room was spacious & really nice. Very comfortable bed & pillows, kettle/coffee machine, robes & slippers, fridge & expensive mini bar! We had dinner, bed & breakfast. The bar service was good but slow. The restaurant was disappointing - very much a 3-star experience in a 5-star hotel. The service was poor with a 40 min wait for drinks which arrived after we’d ordered food & eaten our starters! Food was ok but average & atmosphere was more lunch/cafe than nice restaurant. Breakfast was great but had to queue for hot buffet. Pool/spa is lovely.

Having enjoyed a previous stay, I was extremely disappointed this time. Hotel is generally tired and in need of a serious refurb. Food choices in the hotel poor and very expensive, so much so we ate in the town on the other two nights. Annoyingly the hotel also debited my card before we had even checked out, no apology from the manager, simply blaming junior staff. Certainly not 5 star, sorry but we won’t be back.
