Cheval Blanc under-delivers
Beautiful hotel on a gorgeous beach. Rooms are very comfortable if you get the right one. We had problems getting the actual room we booked. Were given an “upgrade” to a room with zero privacy where the patio was literally part of the hotel’s restaurant. Were first told that the ocean view room we booked was unavailable. When we insisted, hotel ultimately did move us to the right room but it was 3-4 hours after check in and too dark to enjoy the view. Front desk couldn’t address the issue without escalating to management, which took a long time to resolve. The service on the beach was excellent and the setting is amazing. Food isn’t bad but not what you would expect for Cheval Blanc. Mostly mediocre, both at lunch and breakfast. We didn’t have dinner. Overall, a good hotel if you avoid the service hiccups. But given the brand and the $5k/night cost, one should expect much better.

this is a high end hotel in the most prestigious and nicest beach on the island. The service is amazing, the food is delicious, the grounds are very well kept, great overall experience - we will come back !! The rooms are spotless and spacious and the toiletries were curated from the best of the best.

hard to find a better experience
sublime trip - hard to find a better experience in the Caribbean let alone anywhere in the world. Cheval gets the details right without being to obvious about the level of excellent service. So subtle you barely notice it until you go to another hotel and see how they dont do it as well.
