Owned by native Antiguans, the 30 cottages at Cocos Hotel roost on a cliff and overlook iridescently clear waters, where deep blues and minty greens shimmer in streaks on the horizon. The best way to enjoy the view is swinging in a hammock suspended from the roof of each cottage’s rustic terrace, or drifting to sleep on the netting-enveloped princess bed. Chef Pam Clay's West Indian take on Tuscan cuisine attracts a local following.

We had a lovely trip to Cocos Hotel for our honeymoon. Overall location and accommodations were 5 stars, with a few 4 star points like food (some things were a miss though most were hits). I'd rate it 4.5 if I could. The service and drinks were excellent, and overall atmosphere was wonderful and perfect for a vacation. The two biggest downsides were the main path being too slippery and treacherous in the rain, and the bed in our suite (cottage 5) was very squeaky.

Our stay at Coco’s Hotel was wonderful. We stayed in a cottage at the top of the hill with a bay view and an infinity pool. Note, the property is beautiful and well kept, but it is very hilly. The cottage was simple and rustic and the outdoor showers were pretty cool. We opted for daily cleaning service which was very good. The fridge can be stocked with a variety of non-alcohol and alcohol drinks which can be refilled daily. The bath products (shampoo, conditioner, soap and cream) were lovely. Our deck with hammock and chairs was rustic and perfect for us. The infinity pool was awesome! The staff were lovely and available for anything you need. The food was good, and the dining area is very nice, daily pastries and cookies were yummy! The beach bars were good (ok), you can get what you want to drink but food is minimal. The beaches are fantastic! Clear blue water, no rocks or coral to step through. And plenty of towels available. I really liked the resort pool, but the pool area and space leading up to the pool could use a little love/maintenance. The only down side was the little biting bugs - but when in paradise you make do. I would recommend Cocos for a relaxing no fuss holiday. We really liked the rustic easy feel of the resort.

My wife and I enjoyed our vacation at Coco's. The whole staff was very friendly and made us very comfortable. The individual cottage that you have with a balcony that overlooks the Caribbean water is very relaxing. The food at the restaurant was well prepared and delicious with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea.

Beautiful location with 2 pretty beaches and good nightly entertainment. That’s the extent of the pros. Rooms just ok if you don’t mind a hike, food was lousy overall, and the service was mostly poor - surly staff (even for Caribbean standards) and had to wait literally hours for beach towels every day. Expected much better for the price.
