About the Hotel

Rising majestically above the 600 acre beach front resort of Anse Chastanet, Jade Mountain Resort on St. Lucia’s south-western Caribbean coastline is a cornucopia of organic architecture celebrating St. Lucia’s stunning scenic beauty. Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy has expanded upon his philosophy of building in harmony with Caribbean nature in his creation of Jade Mountain St. Lucia. The bold architectural design – individual bridges leading to exceptional infinity pool sanctuaries and rugged stoned-faced columns reaching towards the sky – makes Jade Mountain St. Lucia one of the Caribbean’s most mesmerizing resort experiences.

Reviews for Jade Mountain

“bucket list” worthy

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

For discerning travelers seeking experiences beyond mere opulence, Jade Mountain delivers profound magic. My wife and I spent four nights in Suite JE1 (Galaxy Sanctuary), mesmerized by panoramic Pitons views and our private infinity pool blending into the Caribbean horizon. The staff, warmest we’ve ever encountered, elevated everything: special thanks to Noemie (who masterfully planned my wife’s unforgettable birthday), Al, Ned & , Nyson (in-sanctuary dinner), Daniel, Teron, Merlia, Darwin, Lise (spa), Della, Antonia, and Roger. Highlights included Chef Daniel’s hands-on chocolate-making masterclass and a romantic private beach dinner curated by Merlia and Chef Darwin. Authentic, immersive perfection.

Book the trip. Jade mountain was nothing short of exceptional. We recently returned from our honeymoon and wish we stayed longer. The attention to detail is unmatched. The rooms (and views) are spectacular. The open concept is insane. The service was world class. The food was the best meal over and over.

As awesome as you would expect

Treated like royalty by everyone as soon as they know where you are staying - the name carries quite some prestige. In fairness everyone we encountered was superb - Gina the security guard sticks in mind - having been on St Lucia for 3 weeks before arrive at Jade in our rental car (note, the road up to Anse Chastanet and Jade is the worst we drove in in our whole time on the island, and we went on many roads that rival Yorkshires potholes) and she just got us sorted and our butler and shuttle appeared quick sharp. We had arrived at midday so well ahead of the normal check in of 3pm. As expected our room was not yet ready but we could drop our bags & head to the beach to use all of the facilities having been issued with a Jade mobile for our butler Al to call when our room was available. The room - sorry sanctuary- is a massive wow. We have a star sanctuary with a pool and it is an experience worth the considerable cost. Service is exemplary, food excellent, superb team in every department who are all happy & friendly- make the stay truly unforgettable and a great way to end our break.

Fabulous with a few glitches

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I feel rather mean by not giving 5 stars, but I think some other reviewers are just trying to justify the price. The hotel is stunning and there are so many nice little touches they are probably too numerous to list: long story short, they really look after you. The rooms and views are stunning, the food is excellent. So, why not 5 stars? The rooms are open to the elements which gives you a great feel for the nature - you are unlikely to experience this anywhere else. It meant that the room temperature didn't drop below 26C overnight which made sleeping a little uncomfortable (there's no AC). Also the rooms are open to mosquitos, birds and bats, all of which joined us. That didn't bother me too much, but it's something to bear in mind. Our room on the JF level was 10 flights of stairs (140 steps) below the Jade restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner - there's no lift/elevator. Again, this wasn't a problem for us, but something to bear in mind. The food in the Jade restaurant was really excellent but the service was spotty. When we arrived at 2.30pm our room wasn't ready so we were invited to eat. We ordered starters only which took 30 mins to arrive even thought the restaurant was pretty empty (most people were at the beach). Water is always placed on the table out of reach of the customer but the service is not frequent enough to top up the glasses. Restaurant service was actually much more friendly and experienced down at the beach. We sat in the bar one evening for at least 20 mins before anyone offered service. Our room didn't have a pool and there isn't really a swimming pool for general use. Since the rooms have no AC you can end up feeling rather hot. The previous hotel we stayed at on the island had a huge pool and also a great gym. The gym at Jade mountain is basically an empty room with a single running machine. The massage we had at the spa on the other hand was the best ever - that's the conundrum of Jade mountain. Another thing that didn't sit well was the amount of paperwork and upselling that we had to deal with on arrival. Having spend several thousand per night I didn't really want to be told about all sorts of this and that for a few hundred dollars more, felt kind of cheap. Similarly trying to untangle the menus of what was included and not included did not encourage the relaxation I was looking for: it's all just too complicated for no good reason. Wandering down to the beach where there were various little sail boats, kayaks, snorkelling gear etc to use as you wish was just perfect. Overall Jade Mountain is stunning and there are so many positives, many more than I've mentioned, that less than 5 stars seems harsh. But it's very expensive and so it should be very good.

Perfect Honeymoon

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This was not only the best place we could have spent our honeymoon, but was the nicest resort and staff we have ever experienced. Let me start by saying that every staff member was so kind and always had smiles on their faces. Nage, Junior, Ned, Jamal, Sherton, Levi, Theo, Ronnie, we cannot thank you all enough for making this the most magical and unforgettable time possible! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. From the moment you step on the property, to the sanctuary (rooms), to the restaurant, everything was so amazing and clean. The location of the resort itself is extremely private and quiet. We got a couples massage every day we were there which was amazing. We loved our private pool and all the amenities in our sanctuary. Definitely worth every penny! We can’t wait to come back and see everyone soon!
