Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero

Best luxury hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Every hotel staff member that my wife and I encountered during our stay were so kind, helpful, and professional. This includes multiple concierge staff, room service staff, the restaurant downstairs, valet, literally everyone. Clearly an extremely well managed hotel. Also, the food provided via in room dining and the restaurant downstairs were also amazing!!

wonderful stay

The hotel is located in a great location near the Embarcadero and the Oakland Bridge. It's only a few blocks from the Ferry Building which has a great weekend farmers market. The area was very clean and safe, just avoid walking towards the Tenderloin area of town. The hotel itself is well run and spotless and the staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. We paid for an upgraded room and the view from the 44th floor was incredible. The gym was also very nice and bigger than what you find at some city hotels. We did not use the restaurant for any meals as we were visiting with family who live nearby. Overall would definitely recommend.

Mostly What You Might Expect of a Four Seasons

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Classy establishment with good service. Room and bed are comfortable. If you are on a top floor, you might get a great view. My room was 3817, and view was mostly blocked. In-room dining is available 24h and properly served. Location is two-blocks from Montgomery BART station. I had meetings in Embarcadero Three, and it was about a 7-minute walk. I am giving only 4 stars primarily because I had requested and confirmed, prior to my arrival, that down comforter and pillows be removed from my bed and replaced with cotton/foam. I did get the foam pillows, but the down comforter was not removed and nor alternatives provided. The problem was quickly taken care of once I called, but this was not the kind of service oversight I'd expect from Four Seasons.

Great service exceptional food and views.

I have had 2 stays at the Four Seasons Embarcadero in the last year both were great. Only real downside for me and my needs was there was no spa. The food was really really good. Elite 5 star resort level good. Everything I had was amazing. Both my wife and I were surprised by the food quality at this city hotel. The doorman remembered my name when I came back 6 months later for just my second stay even. Sometimes hotels just give you a good feeling and I felt really well taken care of here. The service was solid all the way around. I had room service a number of times and they were timely with it even when sold out. Turndowns were down every night and maid service solid. I booked through Amex fine hotels and got upgraded to a Jr suite corner room both times with a phenomenal view. Good recognition of Amex benefits. I had to extend my stay by a day on my second stay at the last minute-as in while I was already there. They were sold out for that night but somehow managed to keep me in the same room. which was a jr suite corner room with absolutely spectacular views. I won't stay anywhere else now in SF after these 2 stays unless I just have to been on the other side of town. I had previously stayed at the Westin in Union Square and also the Grand Hyatt which I had major problems with the A/C. They could not do anything about that which affected my sleep. The A/C at the 4S could practically make it snow in the room! The doormen were super helpful with any request. I was told they are going to add a spa they were just trying to figure out where to put it and all that. Highly recommend. They were also able to get us into a highly popular restaurant without reservations at the very last minute. Another great benefit of stay at a Four Seasons.
