Utterly gorgeous hotel, if you can afford to then splash out on a 2 roomed suite. Knocked a star off due to lack of free wifi, in a hotel of this quality wifi should be complimentary. I stayed in some small and large motels on the same trip which all offered free wifi.

Lovely stay! Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed. Delicious breakfast with many options. Great location, walkable to everything. I got big room with full of aminities, the hotel is quite place at night at my room. Highly recommend for business and family trip!

Had the pleasure of staying at this property for a business trip. Decided to try out this location due to the buildings history and wanted to see the interior design. It definitely met my expectations and really provided a different feel and atmosphere compared to the other Marriott brands I've stayed at. The luxe factor of the dining area as well as the main foyer really adds to the appeal of this facility. I stayed in a Deluxe King room and there was more than ample space. Bathrooms are clean and modern and all the furnishings are modern as well. Bedsheets and linens are nice and clean and what you would expect from a higher end hotel. Service: Top notch from the doormen, valet, dining, and reception. Everyone is very attentive, polite, and makes you feel like a true guest rather than just a number. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and just made the stay that much more memorable. Highly recommend staying at this property if you're in the SF downtown core.

Was our 1st time in San Francisco. Hotel was elegant and grand...the great room and staircase made you feel like you were on a cruise ship-Glorious. The front desk staff, room service, cuisine, door men, concierge, work out room staff all very friendly and acknowledging. Great Hotel, 7 Star

Excellent and welcoming service at this well - preserved, historic grand hotel. Great food and drinks. Quality gym and wonderful pool setting. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable we've experienced. Convenient lower Market Street location just a short walk to Union Square and the Embarcadero. Early and late checkout provided. Highly recommend.
