About the Hotel
When railroad tycoon Frederick William Vanderbilt built the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, part of the Legend collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, in 1919 it was Puerto Rico's only luxury hotel – President and Eleanor Roosevelt stayed here, part of a long list of notable guests. If the architecture looks familiar, it might be because the design firm also drew up the plans for New York's Grand Central Terminal. Graceful archways and sweeping staircases remain intact in this fully restored landmark, which presides over the Atlantic Ocean with two guestroom towers that are sumptuously modern.

Romantic Getaway PUERTO RICO
My husband and just stood this past week at the Condado Vanderbilt and all I can say is WOW! Beautiful hotel and great staff! Manuel in the main pool area was a delight! He used to be a physical education teacher and told us that he switched to the hospitality industry a few years back. You can tell he enjoys his job and makes the guest experience and enjoyable one. Christian at the Taco and Tequila restaurant is another delight and I can't forget to mention Ana and James always making sure your drinks are taken care of. They are both wonderfull! Ashley kept our room extremely tidy and always made sure we had everything we needed. Great vacation! We will be back in the near future. Thank you Condado Vanderbilt for a fabulous experience. Wonderful hotel in PR!
Amazing hospitality and very clean hotel. There are spectacular ocean views around the resort! The area is great. Close to Old San Juan & the airport. The beach had a ton of kelp, which is obviously not the hotel’s fault! Would definitely go back!
