One of if not the best hotel i’ve ever visited! The staff are very friendly and attentive, William at the door made us feel like we’re at home! Showed us lots of great restaurants in the area ! Check in was smooth our room was available before check in time, Dixy was very helpful and pointed us towards great food spots and helped solve any minor inconvenience! The room was very clean, the view and layout were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable! The continental breakfast was amazing, very tasty! Stephanie and Victor were very kind and attentive as well in the restaurant. The pool and beach were such a short walk from the hotel we almost never left the property during our stay. 10/10 Would definitely recommend and for sure coming back soon!

Beautiful hotel. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Our room attendant Marina Vargas was absolutely wonderful. Walking distance to lots of good stuff. Beach access was amazing.

We stayed at this resort during the first week of May. We booked a package that included daily buffet breakfast for two and $100 food and beverage credit. While the resort has a lot going for it, the stay was spoiled by a pattern of issues and dishonesty as outlined below. PROS: - Excellent location on Isla Verde beach - Very nice pool area CONS: - On the other side of the hotel's chain link fence, on the east side, there is a very large piece of power equipment that runs into the late night hours and is extremely loud. The sound is similar to a huge electric generator. There was no way to sleep with that kind of noise penetrating the room. Despite this, the hotel staff claimed to have no knowledge of the power equipment. They offered to move us to a room on a higher floor. However when I called to complete the move, no one could be reached and we had to go to the front desk in person with all our luggage. The room on the 12th floor had better soundproofing. - In addition to the loud noise, the first room also had a dirty floor and the bathroom mirror was covered with pot marks. The second room was better. - We had one meal at Ocean Breeze cafe. I ordered a steak cooked medium-well - it was served rare instead and was inedible like leather. - I rented a car for one day from the rental desk located on the main level. Despite having a reservation made online, the staff person refused to honor the price and claimed that it did not include taxes and fees - FALSE! - I returned the car several hours early and brought the key back to the rental desk. The staff person did not provide any receipt and claimed I would receive an email shortly. As several hours passed and I received nothing, I returned again to the rental desk. I demanded a receipt showing the car was returned and she finally printed one. The following morning, I received an alert from my bank about a charge for $1,000. I returned again to the rental desk but no one was there at first. Later, a different representative showed up. He claimed that I did not return the key. Once he realized that I had a printed receipt, he finally conceded and agreed to credit back the $1,000. Note that if they had a concern regarding the key, they could have simply called me. But they did not and instead deceptively charged my credit card $1,000. - One day at the pool, we stepped away from our loungers for 10 minutes and returned to discover the towels removed along with a hat. The hat was never recovered and is presumed stolen. - On check-out day, we had to wait in line 15 minutes to receive service at the front desk. There, the representative provided a copy of the final invoice. Despite that the package included daily buffet breakfast which was acknowledged by the representative during check-in, they nevertheless added hundreds of dollars for breakfast charges. It was not until I complained that they agreed to remove the charges. I had to similarly complain a second time to have them also apply the $100 food and beverage credit.

Everything about this hotel and the location was just what I had hoped for. The hotel is big without being oversized. The location, right on the beach is just wonderful and the beach is good too, with beautiful walkable sand, no rocks, shells or other things to hurt your feet. The location is good for local restaurants, too, and we walked to places for dinner every night. The room, a junior suite, was spacious with a king bed, a big couch, and a view of the hills and Isla Verde. Great from the 10th floor! The bedding is delicious, the bathroom had double sinks and a big walk in shower. good towels, too. Quiet. We paid in advance for the breakfast buffet. Expensive, but I wasn't about to scout out breakfast in the area. Good choices and an omelet station. The grounds and the pool and pool bar get an A+ the Staff is wonderful as well. If there was one thing that bothered me it was the lack of hooks and towel bars in the bathroom for all the wet bathing suits and that there is not much accommodation for clothes, either in the closet or drawers. Otherwise A+ for the stay. Go there. You'll be happy.

Overall great vacation. Cant wait to start planning the next with Luxury Link. Please note this is a great hotel but showing a lot of wear. Here are some specifics:
Location - Great
Pool - Great
Akua Pool bar and staff - Great
Beach bar and staff - Great
Aleli cafe breakfast and staff - Great
I didn't know that there was a gift shop or an Italian restaurant until my second day there (not listed on hotel website).
Hotel "club" room - Good, clean, comfortable
Would have been Great if the sliding door from the room to the pool area wasn't so hard to use. My wife gave up after day one and walked around to get to pool. This was a BIG PROBLEM for us as it kind of defeats the purpose.
Poor water pressure.
The club room comes with buffet brekfast so the Luxury Link perk was kind of redundant.
Karaya bar - very good, usually busy, so service was a bit slow but food was good.
