I traveled to Nantipa with a group of friends in the travel industry, who definitely are familiar with what makes a hotel great. We had countless conversations about how much we were loving our experience at Nantipa. The sunset beach vibe every evening is such a highlight. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The food is a "wow" at the restaurant, and the staff are so passionate and good at what they do. I definitely would recommend anyone to stay here, especially if you want to be right on the beach.

We stayed at Nantipa for 6 nights in early May. Our first 2 nights were in a Ninta beachfront room with small plunge pool and the remaining 4 nights were in a beachfront Villa with private pool. We really struggled with how to rate this review. The positives: We absolutely loved the property. Right on the beach, beautiful, lush grounds. Super nice staff and just a pleasant, calm, relaxing environment. The beach was so, so nice for walking! Exactly what we were looking for. It’s an easy 4 hour drive from Liberia. Roads were excellent the entire way until arriving in Santa Teresa. The last 10 minutes were on a dirt road that was just beginning a major construction project. Expect delays for several months in Santa Teresa. Now the negatives: The restaurant. Breakfast, included in the rate, was always great and usually served quickly. Lunch and dinner is where it’s very inconsistent. Prices are extremely high. Somedays service was excellent and other days we wondered if we were invisible, as no one seemed to notice we were even there. The final straw was on our last night. We arrived to have drinks and enjoy the sunset and eventually have dinner. We ordered 2 beers and it took 30 minutes for the beers to arrive with no acknowledgement of any problem. We decided to leave and have dinner elsewhere. Very disappointing. Noise. Nantipa has a very noisy neighboring hotel, right next door. One night during our stay they played EXTREMELY LOUD music. It was so loud that it vibrated the windows in our villa. We called the front desk to ask if they could do anything and, although very sympathetic, they said they would call the police, but there was nothing they could do. Despite a strong thunderstorm, the loud thump-thump-thump music continued until just after midnight. It was a horrible night. Sadly, the sleepy town of Santa Teresa is becoming a party town. While this review was going to be a 3-star review due to the noise and restaurant issues, we decided that it should be a 5-star review due to the excellent service of 5 employees. These employees really care and were so helpful and kind throughout our stay— they made the difference. Many thanks to Erica, Anthony, and Mario at the front desk and Christian and Rafael at the restaurant. Nantipa is lucky to have such awesome, caring people.

Hotel Nantipa is a true gem in Santa Teresa. From the moment you arrive, you're embraced by extraordinary hospitality. The staff delivers service that is both warmly personal and professional. The resort's restaurant, Manzu', right on the beach is very popular with external clients as well - as a guest no worries about availabilty -. Each dish is prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The Hotel is focused on the local community and helping local businesses as well. The spa is a sanctuary of pure relaxation, offering several treatments that rejuvenate both body and soul. I did a deep tissue massage and loved the therapist. Accommodations are spacious and thoughtfully designed. My room seamlessly blend luxury and Costa Rican charm. For travelers seeking a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and tropical paradise, Hotel Nantipa in Santa Teresa is a must-visit. The hotel is also family friendly but it doesn't provide special services for kids (ie kids club).

Best hotel in Santa Teresa by far. Incredible location, amazing food, drinks and service. Rooms and facilities are A++. The last time we received this level of service was in the JW Marriot at Shanghai (and Nantipa’s was even better than the JW!).
