Nantipa is a gem of a resort that embodies a true Costa Rican experience, has a gracious and attentive staff and a calm and relaxed environment. I really loved it and cannot wait to come back. I stayed in a Nanku room which was extremely spacious and comfortable. They have a drink in the room made from cacique and infused with pineapple that is a nice touch. My friends were in the Villa which had a private pool, was just steps to the beach, and had a full, modern kitchen. The property isn't huge but it has a lovely pool, is on the beach, and a casual restaurant all nearby so you really can choose how you want to spend your time. There is also a brand new luxury spa with different types of treatments available and some of them looked amazing (we didn't have time but I wanted to try the Hawaiian massage that sounded incredible). The restaurant, Manzu, has a menu that accommodates all sorts of food preferences and allergies (we had someone with a gluten allergy and she was amazed by how many options were available). The staff also was so friendly and kind. Our server for dinner both nights, Salvador, handled us and all of our requests with ease and a smile. I recommend the sea bass- it was fantastic- and the quinoa or hearts of palm salad. The hotel is located in the heart of San Teresa which out of all the places we visited in Costa Rica felt the most authentic, laid back yet also lively. It is a surfer's paradise but also has so many things to do. There are really cute boutiques for shopping and a bunch of little restaurants as well. It is close to excursions like Tortuga Island, waterfalls and Ario for horseback riding. We did the horseback riding and it was stunning! It is clear that this property's owners genuinely care and pay attention to the details and what makes staying there so special. Loved the location - right on the beach and near plenty of great restaurants and activities. Beautiful place and very comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and nice. Activities easy to book -- staff assists -- and plenty to do. Beach set-up was just what I was looking for -- beautiful views, plenty of chairs, restaurant right there with service on the beach. Several times we had cocktails and snacks late afternoon on the beach while relaxing in the hammocks. I'd stay at Nantipa again!

This was our second trip to Costa Rica, and our first with our 10-month-old baby. Initially considering Somos, we're thrilled we opted for Hotel Nantipa. [Friendly Staff] The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. When our car had a minor issue, they seamlessly arranged help via WhatsApp offering rides while we were out for shopping. [Kid-Friendly] The availability of cribs and the unexpected discovery of a babysitting service made our stay stress-free. Despite expecting a laid-back vacation, we were pleasantly surprised to join activities like surf lessons and zipline tours thanks to the available babysitter. [Restaurant] Although I had bookmarked several off-site restaurants, we mainly dined at Manzu due to their high-quality dishes and accommodating nature. Catering to our baby's specific dietary needs, they prepared dishes like scrambled eggs (well done, no seasoning) and they had fruit parfait with sugar-free yogurt on the breakfast menu. Additionally, they easily accommodated my husband's dairy allergy. Santa Teresa's unpaved roads made exploring difficult with a baby, making Nantipa's serene atmosphere a welcome relief. Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. The resort is very beautiful and peaceful. The pool is very quiet and relaxing. We stayed in a Ninta Beach Bungalow. I highly recommend one of these rooms. It’s very nice to have that private plunge pool to relax in, especially if you aren’t acclimated to the heat yet. Private access to the beach and shaded beds right outside your room are the perfect place to watch the incredible sunsets of Santa Teresa. The staff at Nantipa amazing, very friendly and very helpful. I exchanged emails with Hazel, the concierge, leading up to our stay and she answered all of my questions promptly. She took care of everything for us, from the tours and the excursions to the ATV rental and delivery to the flowers waiting in the room for my wife. She also arranged for an “under the stars dinner” for our anniversary. I’m so happy we did this. Not only was it a wonderful dinner and way to celebrate, but we got to meet our server, Kevin. His genuine personality and fun demeanor made not only that dinner but our entire stay so much better. Finally, if you have any concerns with safety, you will have no worries at Nantipa. We walked the beach for hours and left our patio door unlocked and our belongings on the beach beds with no problem. There is security to attend to the area. However, I never felt like it was something to be concerned about. Santa Teresa and the surrounding areas have so much to offer, from food to nature. And if you’re looking to make your stay even better, Nantipa is definitely somewhere you should look into.

Excellent place to end our CR trip. There is not much I can complain about. If you are keen on swimming in front of your hotel, this is not your place because of the rocky beach. Special thanks to Rolando our waiter who had a very warm and welcoming nature.
