The Singular Santiago Lastarria Hotel

This is a hotel that lives up to its formidable reputation. You are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive, the ground floor breakfast room and bar makes it easy to avail early morning excursions and catch a drink on return. The rooms are large and well appointed. (Perhaps the management could look at modernizing charging facilities for phones and electronics). The hotel is very well located with lots of restaurants and bars - and a supermarket - within walking distance. There is a large park nearby and there are options should one need to use public transport. Breakfast was very personalized: you ordered from a menu and it was served at the table. The Rooftop (Bar & Restaurant) is a place I loved and went twice on a 3-night stay. The staff throughout the hotel are terrific. Little wonder that The Singular belongs to the Leading Hotels of the World.

Our second stay at this amazing hotel. The hotel is classy, rooms clean and comfortable, good facilities in the hotel and the restaurant fantastic. Menus innovative and quality food. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful and always tried to please. Location was great, close to attractions and Bellavista plus very good restaurants close by as was the local market. We hope to visit Santiago again and the Singular will be the hotel we return to.

At the end of a four week trip through Chile I spent the fonal three nights at The Singular in Santiago. And what a grear decision it was! The hotel is situated in the buzzing Lastarria district and is just a 10 minute walk from historic Plaza de Almas. There is a metro station jist a few minutes wall away. Santiago is a busy, bustling city and The Singular offers a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Check in was efficient and staff were on hand to assist with baggage. The hotel had also arranged an efficient transfer from the airport. I booked a Lastarria room which turned out to be much bigger than it appeared in the photographs. I really appreciated thoughtful little touches such as an adapter for UK plugs. The bathroom was spacious and there was more than enough storage space. Breakfast was an excellent with plenty of choice and table service rather than the ubiquitous self service buffet. The rooftop bar and restaurant is brilliant and the food was so good I ate there twice. Staff are quietly efficient and service is first class.

This was a lovely hotel with large quiet rooms, excellent food and drink options and the kindest , most accommodating staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days and would definitely stay here again for another Santiago visit. The location is perfect for exploring the sights, subway is easily accessible and the food options in the neighborhood are endless. Breakfast is more than enough , the rooftop bar is a must do, especially at sunset when the sun is highlighting the Andes behind you. Our special ceviche was the best we’ve had , and the wait staff at all dining spots were efficient and polite. I can highly recommend this location and this hotel in particular.
