An amazing Hotel in the middle of Santiago - 1st class on everything

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I arrived at the Hotel at 11pm after a very long flight from the UK via Madrid and I have to say from the start to the end, how friendly and supportive the staff were. Also, the food is just great too. I even had a swim in the outdoor pool even though it was freezing cold inside it and out. A special thank you to Tomas who greeted me as a long lost friend at breakfast and helped me with my Spanish. Juan Pablo for the service in the bar and the beer. Francisco at the Lobby, Macarena and Polina to being super nice. There were many others but just to name these guys especially. The Hotel itself is well situated if you like good restaurants and from the airport it was only 45 mins tops. There is a gym connected to the hotel and if I had to be super critical (not on the hotel itself) was that the gym opened too late in the morning i.e. 6:30. I needed to be at breakfast by then. I cannot fault this hotel. Simply one of the best and I can say that because I have stayed in a few.

Amazing Concierge Team and Unforgettable Experience!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Our stay at the W Santiago was nothing short of spectacular! While it started with a minor hiccup, the exceptional service from the concierge team at W Santiago turned it into a trip we'll cherish forever. My husband and I were in town, eagerly anticipating a concert by my favorite artist. So, you can imagine our disappointment when we discovered our tickets had been refunded. Despite our attempts to repurchase them, they were sold out, and the subsequent release required a Chilean ID, leaving us feeling defeated. However, upon sharing our predicament with Camila and Maria José from concierge, they went above and beyond to ensure we didn't miss out. Their dedication in securing tickets for the next day's show and organizing transportation afterward truly saved the day. Their genuine warmth and enthusiasm meant the world to us. Acquiring tickets mere hours before the concert heightened the excitement of the night, making every song and moment even more special. Upon returning to our room the following day, after a day of exploring the city on electric scooters, we were greeted with a thoughtful note, chocolates, and beautifully laminated concert tickets—a delightful gesture that made our experience truly memorable. We couldn't help but feel grateful for choosing to stay here. Additionally, Joe and Fernanda at the front desk also provided exceptional service, demonstrating thoughtfulness and care throughout our stay. Overall, words cannot express our gratitude for such an incredible experience. From the outstanding service to the wonderful people, thank you immensely for making our time at W Santiago truly unforgettable!

Aging rooms and poor breakfast experience c

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We continue to experience bad service at breakfast. Sure is crowded and poorly managed and staffed. I can see full of tables with barely 2-3 waiters that arrived later than opening. Service by them is rude. They bring the check but no help and the food is unappealing. So little fruit options. Coffee is from an office machine. This is a constant problem I stay here all the time. Rooms are also showing age at many levels

Wonderful staff and great hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We were fortunate to spend a couple of nights at the W Hotel in Santiago. The property is located in a very nice section of the city in a very walkable and safe area. There are beautiful parks and many nice restaurants within a few blocks hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well maintained. What stood out the most was the wonderful staff that works there. The person who stood out the most among them was Camila at the front desk. I don’t believe the word “no” exists in her vocabulary. She made sure that my wife and I were well looked after. We net her in January 2024 on our first visit and, when we returned a few weeks later, she was waiting for us with a big smile. When we checked out a couple of days later, she literally came out from behind the front desk and gave us a big hug. It is people like Camila that make a hotel stay memorable…she definitely did. Thank you Camila and thank you to all the wonderful staff that works at this great hotel. We highly recommend staying there

Not what I expected from a W

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had 2 rooms on 2 different accounts that were both eligible for upgrades. When we checked in, we were informed that only 1 of our rooms would be upgraded and we would get a suite. The room without the upgrade was a dump. It was run down and not clean. I could see old crumbs in the box spring. We had to wait for our suite and when it was ready, it was not actually a suite. It was an identical room in size but it had a balcony. Not sure why they told us that was a suite. Also, we were never offered a welcome drink. The biggest complaint though is that this place is so run down, my fiancé got locked in the elevator. It was terrifying. He didn’t have his phone. When he finally got out and alerted the staff, they were very nonchalant. As a matter of fact, they never serviced it. No signs or anything. We went back to the elevator 15 minutes later and it was the one that opened for us but of course we did not get in. We avoided that elevator like the plague for the rest of our stay! I don’t recommend this hotel.
