Embracing a legacy of rich history dating back to the 15th century, Hodelpa Nicolas de Ovando Hotel is located on the first paved road of the New World, Calle Las Damas, in the heart of Santo Domingo’s historic Zona Colonial, designated a UNESCO Heritage Site. Comprising three stone houses and courtyards built in 1502, the historic building was the very first to be built on the country’s colonial land and the home of the town’s founder and first Spanish governor of the Americas, Nicolas de Ovando, and his companion Christopher Columbus.

Went with my girlfriend for 2 nights and was blown away! Absolutely perfect stay at the hotel. The rooms were beautiful and the food was delicious. Felix helped us plan our day trips and could not have been friendlier or more attentive. Will be back next time we are win SD!

Friendliest staff, especially the wait staff who were always cheerful and happy to help, especially Luceidy, Karina, Ramona, Rocio, Virgilio and Masiel. The front desk team helped me through a few tricky experiences, always ready to assist.

Really nice Hotel and kind personal. We had very nice service at breakfast. The employee's name was Rocio. I would choose this Hotel again.

Great hideaway in the city. Great service and food. Perfect way to end our trip to the DR. Would recommend Hodelpa de Nicolas Oviando to anyone looking to come to the DR. The pool is great, and there is a gym on site. Will definitely be back here again.

Very nice Hotel. Great location. Historical buildings. If you have a car to park you will need to have the Hotel staff to park for you, as really not possible to park anywhere nearby the hotel.
