Andaz Bali

The room (Pool View) was amazing and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Beautiful surroundings and plenty of options for food and drink at the resort, but it is a touch expensive. There are plenty of options within walking distance outside the resort also.

We spent four nights at Andaz Sanur in a pool villa and left with nothing but excellent memories. The service was genuinely outstanding, and the villa itself was extremely quiet and private, with a beautifully understated, contemporary design that felt luxurious without being overdone. The resort grounds are lush, serene, and immaculately maintained. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. The à la carte menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated across multiple cuisines, and over four mornings we rarely ordered the same dish twice. Complimentary bicycles were available and made it easy and enjoyable to explore the surrounding area — a small but much-appreciated touch. We dined at both Fisherman’s Club and Village Square, and the food quality was exceptional at each. Prices are on the higher side, but this is a five-star resort and the quality justifies it (note that all prices are subject to a 21% tax and service charge). What truly set Andaz apart, however, was the responsiveness of the WhatsApp concierge. No request was too small, and messages were typically answered within seconds rather than minutes — an impressive level of attentiveness that is rarely seen. I honestly can’t fault the service in any way. My partner and I went surfing daily and arranged a boat to take us out to the nearby reefs. The location was perfect for us, and we were struck by how authentic and relaxed Sanur feels compared to other parts of Bali. The area attracts a slightly older, international crowd and feels refreshingly unspoiled. One very minor observation: it took us a day or two to remember exactly where our villa was located, as it was tucked away in a very quiet part of the property and not heavily signposted. Not a negative at all — more like a tropical labyrinth — and the staff were always happy to point us in the right direction. My partner also attended a yoga class and spoke very highly of it. We also appreciated the additional inclusions with our booking, such as the US$100 resort credit and 4pm late checkout. A special mention goes to Ema, who was incredibly helpful when I had issues with a blocked credit card. She arranged a long international call with my bank in Japan and ensured I wasn’t charged for it — a gesture that really stood out. It was also my birthday during our stay, and without us mentioning anything, the staff surprised me with a cake delivered to our villa along with a handwritten card signed by the manager. The coconut cake was excellent and the gesture was genuinely touching. All in all, a perfectly relaxing stay with superb service, outstanding food, and a beautiful villa in a fantastic location. We would absolutely love to return.

This is a very beautiful place with stunning views and exceptional staff. It was one of the most enjoyable resort experiences that we’ve ever had. I can’t emphasize the friendliness, attentiveness, competence, and kindness of the staff. We especially enjoyed our lagoon room with a private lanai which was especially relaxing.

We have previously written a review on our initial impressions of the ANDAZ by Hyatt, as we experienced our first stay... almost eleven months ago now. Hard to believe, we're back here, at the same resort and allocated the same room, as requested pre-arrival. Second time lucky? Definitely (though our personal feelings and memories are not due to chance alone). Hopefully there'll be a third visit, sometime soon. Our room was, as previously, impeccable. Everything encourages tranquility... From the furniture to the layout and design, from the balcony and daybed to the embracing views of the outside foliage. Management and staff at the Andaz, at every level, have made us feel as though we have somehow been absorbed into the ANDAZ family - not something easy to accomplish, considering the extended length of our stay (27 nights) and the fact that we are just two among hundreds of other guests. It seems amazing that each of the guests here are given such open and genuine warmth, lavish hospitality and the chance to appreciate the extra mile that the staff are prepared to go, to make a holiday here unique and valuable. The ANDAZ envelopes the visitor with its unbelievable food (yes, the a la carte breakfasts far exceed the norm) and restaurants, luscious gardens and pools. To thank and acknowledge every ANDAZ staff member who has left a lasting impression on us would be as futile as it would be incomplete. Suffice to say we thank all who made such an impact upon us. There were a few very minor hiccups (ie: the volume of the live Christmas dinner music and a minor technical issue with the air conditioning) but these were always addressed quickly and professionally. The response was of far more importance and value than our minor concerns. And now, as we face our impending flight back home, what remains to be said? The ideal break from our daily routines? The ANDAZ provided that. An escape into a tropical paradise? The ANDAZ provided that too. The highest level of training and support for the employees? Wonderful food? All this and more. Are we ready to return home? A reluctant yes, but are we also sad about leaving... surely, yes. The perfect end to a perfect stay at the ANDAZ.

Pure Luxury from Andaz Bali. This hotel is simply gorgeous due to its amazing rooms, gardens and privacy aspects of the entire hotel. Based on a Balinese compound design, all rooms have great private spacious balconies and outdoor spaces to provide for ultimate relaxation. Our room was a delux ground floor which over looked a quiet pool surrounded by tropical gardens and perfumed plants. Generous complimentary snacks and soft drinks are provided as an additional treat as are bath bombs and European toiletries.The rooms are beautifully decorated in modern timber stone and natural colours which combined with the comfortable beds you will hate to leave this hotel. The bathroom with heated toilet seat is particularly pleasant. A/C and lighting are easy to use. Breakfast is another level of service. The food is presented to you by attentive staff who ensure every dish is to your exact satisfaction. Allow extra of time for breakfast as it is impossible not to eat about 5 courses of fruit, juices, eggs danishes etc etc. Dinner was also a wonderful experience with a huge variety of food including gluten free options which we required. One particular staff member called Rai really looked after my family of 10 as our 4 young children were presented with turtle backpacks for completing activities which they absolutely loved, including releasing turtles into the ocean at high tide. We have stayed at Andaz previously and will continue to return as it is the best Sanur hotel largely thanks to its brilliant staff, management and outstanding luxury.
